KakaoBank Corp. announced on the 14th that 12 of its executives purchased 21,000 shares of the company’s stock on the open market between June and the 12th of this month. The total purchase amount was 464.83 million won. KakaoBank Corp. explained that the share purchases were made based on the executives’ confidence in the company’s mid- to long-term growth potential and their commitment to responsible management.
KakaoBank Corp. is diversifying its business portfolio with the goal of reaching 100 trillion won in assets next year and achieving a 15% return on equity (ROE) by 2030. Its entry into the non-bank lending business through the acquisition of Marston Capital last June is also part of these efforts.
KakaoBank Corp. spokesperson stated, “This share buyback reflects the executive team’s confidence in the company’s future growth potential and corporate value,” adding, “We will continue to strive to enhance corporate value and shareholder value through sustained innovation and stable growth.”
