According to his agency, JJ Entertainment, on the 14th, Na Sang-do will release his special album “Jihwaja” at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th via various online music platforms.
“Jihwaja” is his new release, coming approximately seven months after he released the single “Rest Area Blues” last January. The album features four tracks, including the title track “Jihwaja,” as well as “Kkok Kkok Kkok,” “Jump Right Up,” and “Mother.”
The title track “Jihwaja” is a traditional trot song that cheerfully expresses the joy of a bountiful harvest, generous hospitality, and the warmth of our community living together.
His agency stated, “It’s a song that blends lively call-and-response phrases like ‘Jihwaja is great, how wonderful!’ with a cheerful rhythm and Na Sang-do’s signature powerful and heartfelt vocals.”
Among the tracks, “Kkok Kkok Kkok” is a remake of the song he performed during the new song mission in the semifinals of TV Chosun’s “Mr. Trot 2.” “Get Up Right Away” and “Mother” were released in 2017 and 2023, respectively.
His agency stated, “We’ve compiled this album to allow fans to look back on his musical journey, featuring everything from the song that marked Na Sang-do’s debut to tracks that have consistently been loved by fans.”
Meanwhile, Na Sang-do’s fan club, “Sangdo Baragi,” donated 5 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Fund in Namhae County, South Gyeongsang Province—Na Sang-do’s hometown—the previous day. They also decided to redonate to the local community the thank-you gifts worth 1.5 million won they received through their donation activities.
