[Edaily Reporter SOYEON KIM ] LGELECTRONICS is accelerating its push into the European business-to-business (B2B) market by supplying large-capacity commercial laundry appliances to Schilling, a German commercial laundry solutions company. Following its expansion in North America, the company is now expanding its supply chain in Europe as well, continuing the growth momentum of its global commercial laundry appliance business.

LGELECTRONICS announced on the 25th that it will supply its “LG Professional” line of high-capacity commercial laundry appliances to Schilling, a German commercial laundry solutions company, next month.
LGELECTRONICS is accelerating its push into the global B2B market, including Europe, by leveraging its high-capacity commercial laundry appliances and differentiated management solutions. Schilling is a specialized company that supplies and installs laundry equipment and solutions to laundromats and laundry facilities throughout Germany. Germany is considered a key market in Europe’s commercial laundry industry, with concentrated demand from hotels, medical facilities, and industrial laundry operations. LGELECTRONICS expects this supply agreement to expand its reach among local B2B customers.

Commercial laundry appliances are quintessential B2B products that require not only product performance and energy efficiency but also the ability to ensure stable operation and maintenance after installation. LGELECTRONICS’ strategy is to strengthen its competitiveness in the European market by leveraging high-efficiency products and dedicated management solutions.

The LG Professional models being supplied this time are based on “AI CoreTech,” which integrates artificial intelligence (AI) with core component technologies to enhance washing and drying performance as well as energy efficiency. AI analyzes the weight of the laundry to optimize water usage and drying conditions, thereby reducing wash time and water and electricity consumption.

The washing machine performs high-speed spin cycles at a rate of up to approximately 18 times per second to reduce residual moisture and shorten drying time. It also improves maintenance efficiency by using a gyro sensor to detect and correct imbalances inside the drum, thereby reducing vibration, noise, and component wear.

LGELECTRONICS’ sales of commercial laundry machines in Europe increased by approximately 20% year-over-year from January through September of this year. To sustain this growth, LGELECTRONICS is also expanding its engagement with local customers.

The company also participated in “EXPO Detergo International 2026,” Europe’s largest laundry trade show, which opened on the 23rd (local time) in Milan, Italy. LGELECTRONICS set up a booth spanning approximately 90 square meters—more than double the size of its previous exhibition—and discussed business collaboration opportunities with major European B2B customers.

The exhibition booth showcased a range of commercial laundry appliances with capacities ranging from 10 kg to 30 kg, including products that use water and specialized detergents to wash delicate garments such as wool and silk. The company also introduced “Laundry Crew,” a dedicated management solution designed to enhance store operational efficiency. Laundry Crew is a service that enables managers to remotely control machines and efficiently manage equipment using features such as error notifications and smart diagnostics.

LGELECTRONICS is expanding its commercial laundry appliance business not only in Europe but also in North America and Asia. In North America, the world’s largest market, the company has more than doubled this year’s supply volume to “CS CORPORATION ServiceWorks,” the region’s leading laundry solutions provider, compared to last year. Sales of commercial laundry appliances in North America have grown at an average annual rate of 41% over the past three years. The company is also expanding its business footprint in key Asian countries such as Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam by strengthening partnerships with local distribution channels.

Son Chang-woo, Head of the Living Solutions Business Division at LGELECTRONICS’ Home Solutions Business Headquarters, said, “We will achieve rapid growth in the global B2B laundry market by leveraging our high-efficiency commercial laundry appliances in a variety of capacities and our differentiated management solutions.”
