[Edaily Reporter SOYEON KIM ] LG Corp. Chairman Koo Kwang-mo received more than 4.8 billion won in compensation during the first half of this year.

According to the semi-annual report disclosed by LG Corp. on the 14th, Chairman Koo received a total of 4.83 billion won, including a salary of 2.417 billion won and a bonus of 2.413 billion won. This represents a slight increase of approximately 2.5% compared to the 4.714 billion won he received in the first half of last year.

LG Corp. explained, “These results were achieved amid a business environment marked by ongoing uncertainty both domestically and internationally, including global trade frictions, geopolitical conflicts, high inflation, and a strong exchange rate.” The company added, “We took into account his contributions to refining the business structure and enhancing competitiveness to identify future growth engines from a long-term perspective, as well as his efforts to foster the next generation of business leaders.”

Kwon Bong-seok, Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of LG Corp., received 1.904 billion won in compensation for the first half of the year.
