NamyangDairyProducts announced on the 14th that it recorded consolidated revenue of 258 billion won and operating profit of 1.3 billion won in the second quarter. These figures represent increases of 11.2% and 38.1%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Net income also rose 75.9% to 1.5 billion won.

Overseas operations drove this growth. Second-quarter overseas revenue reached 30.1 billion won, a 168.7% increase compared to the same period last year. This reflects the success of expanding its export portfolio to include infant formula, freeze-dried (FD) products, French Café coffee mixes and cup coffees, and TakeFit.

NamyangDairyProducts’ total revenue for the first half of the year rose 7.9% to 483.2 billion won. Operating profit for the same period increased 79.5% to 1.8 billion won.

Overseas operations drove these results, and increased sales of growth product categories—such as protein and processed milk—also contributed to the improved performance. The share of milk products in total first-half revenue fell by 5.5 percentage points to 48.9% from 54.4% in the same period last year.

In contrast, the share of the “Other” product category—which includes Chocoemon and TakeFit—expanded by 4.9 percentage points, from 24.3% to 29.2%. Within this category, sales of products centered around the protein brand “TakeFit” rose 76.1% year-over-year in the first half. The share of infant formula also increased from 21.3% to 21.9%.

The subsidiary Baekmidang also contributed to the improvement in profitability. First-half sales rose 34.8% to 16 billion won, and the company returned to profitability with operating profit and net profit of 600 million won and 300 million won, respectively.

A NamyangDairyProducts official stated, “In the first half, both sales and profitability improved as the expansion of exports and the performance of our growth portfolio—including protein products—began to take full effect,” adding, “In the second half, we will further solidify the foundation for sustainable growth by expanding our overseas business, strengthening the competitiveness of our growth product lines, and upgrading our key distribution channels.”
