On the 16th (local time), Billboard announced via its official website that Stray Kids’ “THIS & THAT” had claimed the No. 1 spot on the latest Billboard 200 chart. “THIS & THAT” pushed Ariana Grande’s “petal”—which had held the top spot the previous week—down to No. 2 to take the top spot.
The Billboard 200 ranks albums based on “album units,” which are calculated by combining physical and digital album sales, Streaming Equivalent Albums (SEA)—a metric that converts streaming counts into album sales—and Digital Equivalent Albums (TEA)—a metric that converts digital track downloads into album sales.
“This & That” recorded 369,000 album units in the U.S. during this charting period. This marks Stray Kids’ best-ever weekly performance. Of these album units, traditional album sales totaled 357,000 copies.
Billboard analyzed that the release of 17 physical album editions—which included collectible items such as photo cards, posters, and stickers—along with 8 digital download editions contributed to the increase in sales.
With this achievement, Stray Kids have broken their own record by topping the Billboard 200 with nine consecutive albums, starting with their debut entry on the chart.
Previously, the group debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2022 with “ODDINARY.” Since then, they have topped the charts with every album that has entered the Billboard 200, including *MAXIDENT*, *5-STAR*, *樂-STAR*, *ATE*, *合·HOP*, *KARMA*, and *DO IT*.
With this achievement, Stray Kids now tie with the Rolling Stones for second place among groups with the most No. 1 albums in the entire history of the Billboard 200. The legendary group The Beatles holds the record for the most No. 1 albums among all artists, with 19.
Since their debut in 2018, Stray Kids have grown into one of K-pop’s leading boy groups, driven by their self-produced, explosive music and performances. Last year, they held 56 shows across 35 regions worldwide as part of “dominATE,” their largest-ever world tour.
This year, they will connect with global audiences through their new world tour, “RUN IT,” and “STRAYCITY,” a music festival taking place across South America.
