KTCorporation and Seoul National University Hospital Partner to Build a Medical AX Platform… “We Will Develop a Standard AI Model for Public Healthcare”

[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] KTCorporation(030200)is partnering with Seoul National University Hospital to build a Medical AX platform that supports innovation across all areas of healthcare, including diagnosis, nursing, research, and operations. The goal is to identify, standardize, and disseminate AI innovation models that can be applied to the public healthcare sector.
KTCorporation announced on the 17th that it has signed a business agreement with Seoul National University Hospital at the KT Gwanghwamun West Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and will pursue a joint project to build the Medical AX platform. Key officials from both sides, including Kim Bong-kyun, Head of KTCorporation’s Enterprise Division, and Baek Nam-jong, President of Seoul National University Hospital, attended the signing ceremony.

The two organizations plan to combine KTCorporation’s AI, cloud, and data technologies with Seoul National University Hospital’s clinical and research capabilities to develop and implement a standard model for a medical AX platform. They will also jointly pursue the demonstration, advancement, and commercialization of government policy initiatives, such as the “AI-native hospital” project.
They will also collaborate on AI-based clinical decision support, improving the efficiency of medical staff workflows, and expanding the healthcare market.
KTCorporation will participate in the entire process of the medical AX platform, from planning and development to verification and commercialization. Seoul National University Hospital will identify applicable projects based on its expertise in clinical, treatment, and research settings, and will be responsible for medical consultation and efficacy evaluation.
In particular, KTCorporation’s AX platform and infrastructure capabilities will be integrated into the construction of the group-wide integrated DX platform being led by Seoul National University Hospital. The vision is to build a medical AX ecosystem where research and development, pilot testing, and commercialization in the healthcare field are organically interconnected.
KTCorporation plans to use this collaboration as an opportunity to strengthen its medical AX business capabilities, identify AI innovation models applicable to the public healthcare sector, and expand these models to other medical institutions.
Baek Nam-jong, President of Seoul National University Hospital, stated, “Through this collaboration, we will set the standard for platform cooperation among medical institutions and identify and disseminate effective AI innovation models that can be applied across the entire public healthcare sector.”
