[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] The consolidated debt-to-equity ratio of KOSDAQ-listed companies in the first half of this year rose by more than 12 percentage points (p) compared to the end of last year.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 19th, an analysis of 1,264 KOSDAQ companies with a December fiscal year-end—out of a total of 1,375—for which year-over-year performance data was available showed that the consolidated debt-to-equity ratio for the first half of this year stood at 126.04%, a 12.46 percentage point increase from the end of last year (113.58%).
Total liabilities of KOSDAQ-listed companies in the first half of the year amounted to 300.6154 trillion won, an increase of 17.94% (45.7186 trillion won) compared to the end of the previous year (254.8968 trillion won). During the same period, total assets rose by 12.48% (59.8097 trillion won), from 479.3116 trillion won to 539.1213 trillion won.
On a consolidated basis, the company with the highest debt-to-equity ratio was MAXST CO., LTD(377030), which recorded 8,193.77%. This represents a sharp increase of 7,283.93 percentage points compared to the end of the previous year (909.84%). This was followed by ROKIT HEALTHCARE Inc. (1,509.90%), THE CODI(224060)(1,480.27%), Plasmapp Co., Ltd.(405000)(1,367.44%), CAPE INDUSTRIES LTD.(064820)(1,348.03%), ITM Semiconductor Co., Ltd(084850)(1,282.51%), DAOU DATA CORP.(032190)(1,186.18%), SAMBO Industrial Co., Ltd.(009620)(1,042.39%), Sangsangin Co., Ltd.(038540)(949.15%), and POONGWON PRECISION Co.,Ltd.(371950)(748.98%).
Conversely, the listed company with the lowest debt-to-equity ratio on a consolidated basis was BIODYNE CO., LTD.(314930), which recorded 0.86%. This represents a decrease of 1.11 percentage points compared to the end of the previous year (1.98%). Following this, Helixmith Co., Ltd(084990)(1.13%), Genomictree Inc.(228760)(2.03%), Pharmsville Co., Ltd.(318010)(2.49%), Suprema HQ Inc.(094840)(2.58%), HLSCIENCE Co., LTD(239610)(2.81%), SEJIN T.S CO., LTD.(067770)(3.00%), ROBOTIS(108490)(3.04%), #Aimed Bio Inc. (3.68%), and HWAIL PHARM. CO., LTD(061250)(4.04%) were among the companies with the lowest debt-to-equity ratios.
Meanwhile, the debt-to-equity ratio for KOSDAQ-listed companies on a standalone basis in the first half of this year was 56.99%, up 0.64 percentage points from the end of last year (56.35%). Total debt stood at 126.5018 trillion won, an increase of 7.04% (8.3233 trillion won) compared to the end of last year (118.1786 trillion won). Total assets amounted to 348.4729 trillion won, an increase of 6.27% (20.5596 trillion won).
On a standalone basis, MAXST CO., LTD(377030)recorded the highest debt-to-equity ratio at 9,435.28%. This was followed by SAMBO Industrial Co., Ltd.(009620)(7,878.55%), ROKIT HEALTHCARE Inc. (3,908.98%), Plasmapp Co., Ltd.(405000)(1,439.94%), DT&CRO CO., Ltd.(383930)(1,152.42%), ITM Semiconductor Co., Ltd(084850)(1,078.37%), MS AUTOTECH COMPANY, LIMITED(123040)(935.15%), POONGWON PRECISION Co.,Ltd.(371950)(774.33%), Hantop Inc.(002680)(764.02%), and FNC ENTERTAINMENT Co., Ltd.(173940)(652.69%) were also among the companies with the highest debt-to-equity ratios.
The company with the lowest debt-to-equity ratio on a standalone basis was MOBASE Co., Ltd.(101330), at 0.29%. This was followed by BIODYNE CO., LTD.(314930)(0.85%), YeaRimDang Publishing Co., Ltd.(036000)(1.22%), Eco Volt(097780)(1.27%), Wemade Max(101730)(1.32%), CT property(052300)(1.37%), NEOWIZ HOLDINDS Corporation(042420)(1.46%), AprilBio Co.,Ltd.(397030)(1.51%), MAEIL HOLDINGS CO., LTD.(005990)(1.69%), and Suprema HQ Inc.(094840)(1.85%), in that order, as having the lowest debt-to-equity ratios.
