[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] AI specialist LaonPeople Inc.(300120)announced on the 20th that it recorded approximately 3 billion won in sales in its golf sensor division during the first half of this year. The company achieved 1.6 times its annual golf sensor sales of approximately 1.8 billion won from last year in just the first half of this year. Golf sensor sales for the first half of the year increased 5.6 times compared to the same period last year. LaonPeople Inc. explained that expanded product supply in overseas markets drove this sales growth. Following the supply of an initial batch of about 400 units to a North American partner in the fourth quarter of last year, LaonPeople Inc. sold out its entire exhibition inventory at the “PGA Show,” a golf trade show held in the U.S. earlier this year. Since then, the company has been expanding its shipments by signing supply contracts with major partners in North America, Canada, and Australia. In the second half of the year, the company plans to expand its business through the newly launched AI golf training package, “SwingEZ.” SwingEZ is a product that integrates the golf sensor “VTrack,” the ultra-high-speed swing analysis camera “SwingCam,” and AI coaching software into a single solution. Pre-orders for SwingEZ have been completely sold out, and the company is currently conducting product adoption and business negotiations, primarily in the U.S. and Southeast Asian markets. The company expects related revenue to be fully reflected starting in the second half of the year. LaonPeople Inc. is targeting 10 billion won in revenue from its golf business this year, driven primarily by VTrack and SwingEasy. The company also plans to expand its network of partners in various countries, including Europe. LaonPeople Inc. official stated, “We have established a stable supply chain centered on our global partners, and SwingEasy has begun to contribute significantly to our revenue,” adding, “In line with the trend where the golf practice market is expanding beyond sensor equipment to AI-based training solutions, we will further accelerate our push into the global market.”
