[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] Comprehensive logistics company Taewoong Logistics Co., Ltd.(124560)announced on the 24th that it has acquired E2MAS, a cross-border e-commerce logistics platform provider, and is making a full-scale entry into the global e-commerce logistics business.

Taewoong Logistics Co., Ltd. disclosed on the 21st that it had signed a share purchase agreement (SPA) through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Taewoong E-Commerce Holdings, to acquire 45,638 common shares of E2MAS (representing a 74.92% stake) for 65.17786 billion won. Subject to the fulfillment of conditions precedent, the scheduled date of the share acquisition is September 17.

An additional share acquisition is also planned. Taewoong Logistics Co., Ltd. has secured a purchase option for 7,002 of the 15,280 remaining shares held by the E-Tumas seller within 12 months of the transaction’s closing. Consequently, Taewoong Logistics Co., Ltd.’s stake in E-Tumas is expected to increase further.

Through this acquisition, Taewoong Logistics Co., Ltd. plans to combine Itumas’ e-commerce logistics platform and IT capabilities with its existing international transportation business. The company aims to establish a business structure capable of providing a one-stop solution ranging from international transportation to cross-border e-commerce logistics for delivering goods to overseas consumers.

Founded in 2017, E-Tumas provides e-commerce logistics services linked to overseas open markets—such as Rakuten in Japan, Shopee in Southeast Asia, and Amazon in the U.S.—based on its proprietary logistics platform, “Shipnergy.” By automating logistics tasks necessary for overseas sales—including packaging instructions, customs document generation, and coordination with local delivery carriers—it enables sellers to conduct overseas sales without having to maintain a separate logistics organization.

E-Tumas’ financial performance has also continued to grow. Revenue increased from 64.5 billion won in 2023 to 111.8 billion won in 2025, recording an average annual revenue growth rate of 31.7% over the same period. Operating profit in 2025 reached 9.8 billion won, marking the third consecutive year of profitability.

Taewoong Logistics Co., Ltd. plans to enhance business synergy by combining E2MAS’s cross-border e-commerce logistics capabilities with its existing global network. Specifically, the strategy is to expand its global customer base and cargo volume by combining E2MAS’s e-commerce logistics data with the international logistics operational experience gained in regions such as South America and Central Asia.

A Taewoong Logistics Co., Ltd. official stated, “This acquisition is a strategic investment aimed at expanding our business beyond traditional international logistics into the global e-commerce logistics and logistics IT sectors,” adding, “We will leverage E-Tumas’s e-commerce expertise and IT competitiveness to attract new customers and increase cargo volume, thereby boosting both growth and profitability.”
