EVERYBOT Inc. visited the headquarters of PIA Automation in Ningbo, China, to discuss business collaboration plans regarding the supply of humanoid robot hardware, technological integration, and application in domestic industrial settings.

PIA Automation is a company that has long supplied global industrial automation systems and has recently been expanding its business scope into the field of physical AI, including humanoid robots. Starting with this agreement, EVERYBOT Inc. plans to collaborate with Chinese humanoid robot manufacturers to secure a hardware supply chain and integrate its proprietary software technology.

EVERYBOT Inc. is envisioning a business model in which it sources humanoid robot hardware from Chinese companies and integrates it with its proprietary software technologies in autonomous driving, robot control, and computer vision. The company’s strategy is to secure multiple hardware suppliers to build a supply chain that allows it to select the most suitable products based on specific applications and specifications.

Changes in U.S. robotics market regulations were also cited as a reason for the collaboration with Chinese robotics companies. Last July, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) added mobile robots and other devices to the “Covered List,” a list of equipment related to national security. EVERYBOT Inc. views its experience in obtaining FCC-related certifications and registrations—gained through the sale of robot products in the U.S. market—as a key strength in its collaboration with Chinese robotics companies.

In March of this year, EVERYBOT Inc. expanded and reorganized its existing AI Convergence Technology Research Institute to launch the Physical AI Research Institute and has since been advancing its humanoid and senior care robot businesses.

In the manufacturing sector, the company is conducting pilot tests by deploying autonomous humanoids on production floors. Following the deployment of humanoids at manufacturing partners such as Sam M Tech, it signed a business agreement with FPA, a company specializing in smart factories. Last July, it also signed a business agreement with SUNJIN BEAUTY SCIENCE CO., LTD., a cosmetics ingredients company, and is introducing humanoids at its Janghang GMP plant to advance the automation and unmanned operation of manufacturing processes.

In the senior care sector, the company is conducting pilot tests of humanoids and care robots at the R&D Center of Samsung Noble Life—a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Life Insurance—and at KB Golden Life Care, an affiliate of KB Financial Group.

Starting with this collaboration with PIA Automation, EVERYBOT Inc. plans to expand its partnerships with global humanoid manufacturers and key component suppliers. The company’s strategy is to establish a “Physical AI” business structure that spans securing a hardware supply chain, integrating its proprietary AI and robotics technologies, conducting field trials at domestic industrial sites, and ultimately commercializing these solutions.

EVERYBOT Inc. officials stated, “Through this collaboration, we will secure a global humanoid hardware supply chain and lay the groundwork for integrating our software and AI technologies,” adding, “Based on the field-tested experience we have accumulated in real-world settings such as manufacturing and senior care, we will actively pursue the commercialization of our humanoid business.”
