[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] #MOT Co.,Ltd., a company specializing in rechargeable battery assembly equipment, is making its first shipment of next-generation 46-pai (46 mm diameter) cylindrical battery assembly equipment, marking its full-scale entry into the related mass-production equipment market.
MOT Co.,Ltd. announced on the 26th that it began shipping core assembly equipment on the 25th for next-generation 46-pi cylindrical battery mass production lines. The equipment shipped this time consists of eight types applied across the entire assembly process, including laser welding and forming. MOT Co.,Ltd. applied its proprietary process technologies, such as precision laser welding and vertical visual inspection, tailored to the tabless structure of 46-pi cylindrical batteries.
The company explained that it focused on ensuring equipment stability and improving its customers’ mass production yield through these measures.
The company noted that this shipment is significant because it marks MOT Co.,Ltd.’s participation as an assembly equipment partner in the first mass production line investment for 46mm cylindrical batteries, following its collaboration with major clients on pilot development lines.
MOT Co.,Ltd. has historically centered its business on assembly equipment for prismatic batteries and is now expanding its business scope to include assembly equipment for next-generation batteries, such as all-solid-state batteries, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, and 46mm-diameter cylindrical batteries.
With this shipment of mass-production equipment as a springboard, the company plans to pursue additional orders in response to the expansion of next-generation battery production lines by global battery manufacturers. It is currently in discussions with relevant clients regarding additional orders.
