[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] Physical AI robot specialist EVERYBOT Inc.(270660)announced on the 26th that it has signed an exclusive domestic sales agreement with Chinese quadruped robot company Direct Drive Tech and will enter the quadruped and wheel-legged robot markets.

Direct Drive Tech is a robotics technology company specializing in the “direct drive” method, a core technology for robot joints. With Lenovo as a major shareholder, it supplies motors and related solutions to Chinese robot brands and others.

EVERYBOT Inc. plans to combine its autonomous navigation and 3D vision technologies with Direct Drive Tech’s quadruped and wheel-legged robots to supply them to industrial sites in Korea.

In particular, the company plans to expand the range of applications by leveraging the mobility of quadruped robots to navigate environments—such as stairs and irregular terrain—that conventional wheeled robots struggle to handle. It is also exploring integration with its already commercialized robotic wheelchairs.

While the two companies will prioritize the domestic supply of finished products, they also plan to explore the potential use of Direct Drive Tech’s core components, such as direct-drive actuators and joint modules.

Through this agreement, EVERYBOT Inc. intends to expand its business scope from its existing humanoid-centric physical AI business to include various robot platforms, such as quadrupedal robots and wheel-leg hybrids. The company also plans to pursue technological integration with existing products, such as autonomous driving modules, robotic vacuum cleaners, and robotic wheelchairs.
