[Edaily Reporter Han Kwangbeom ] SamsungElectronics(005930)unveiled the “Galaxy S26 FE (Fan Edition)” on the 27th, a device that incorporates a well-rounded selection of flagship features. This new product focuses on democratizing the premium mobile experience by offering enhanced camera shooting and editing capabilities, the latest and more personalized Galaxy AI, and powerful performance packed into a slim and lightweight form factor.
The first thing that stands out is the camera performance, which has been refined to a higher level of sophistication from shooting to editing. The rear features a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens (F1.8, OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (F2.2), and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens (3x optical zoom, up to 30x digital zoom).
A new “My FanCam” feature has been added, which automatically tracks a selected person and edits the footage into a personalized video. Additionally, “Super Steady,” which offers a horizontal stabilization option, allows for shake-free, stable video recording even during dynamic outdoor activities.
◇Context-Aware Galaxy AI… Supports ‘Now Brief’ and ‘Now Nudge’
It supports “Nightography,” which preserves rich colors and details even in low-light environments, and the front camera features an improved 12-megapixel (F2.2) sensor compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 FE, enhancing stability for group selfies. “Photo Assist,” a post-capture editing feature, allows users to change backgrounds or composite images from the gallery using only natural language commands, and the editing process is saved as a history, enabling step-by-step restoration at any time.
The device also comes equipped with a host of the latest Galaxy AI features based on One UI 9, which deeply understands the user’s daily life and context. “Now Brief” displays personalized briefing cards—such as weather, health, and traffic information—at a glance, while “Now Nudge” assesses the current situation to naturally suggest next steps. The “Circle to Search” feature, which searches for multiple pieces of information—such as products, locations, and objects—within an image all at once, is also supported, further enhancing search convenience.
In terms of hardware specifications and practicality, it delivers flagship-level reliability and usability. It is equipped with an Exynos 2500 AP based on a 3nm process, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, and features a 6.7-inch (171.1mm) FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits and support for a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It features a slim and lightweight form factor—76.9 mm wide, 161.6 mm tall, 7.4 mm thick, and weighing 193 g—while housing a high-capacity 4,900 mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 69% in just 30 minutes.
◇7th-generation OS and 7 years of security updates provided… Ensuring long-term stability
User convenience and security maintenance systems have also been enhanced. The upgraded “Smart Switch” allows users to easily transfer passwords, passkeys, call logs, accessibility settings, and eSIM information simply by scanning a QR code—without the need to install a separate app. SamsungElectronics will provide up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for this device, and with its IP68-rated water and dust resistance, users can enjoy peace of mind during long-term use.
Kim Jeong-hyun, Vice President of SamsungElectronics’ MX Business Division, emphasized, “The Galaxy S26 FE is designed to allow more customers to experience the innovative features of the Galaxy S series and incorporate them into their daily lives.” He added, “By offering the high-quality camera—which has been the most beloved feature of the S series—and the Galaxy AI experience, it will be the optimal choice for consumers seeking a premium mobile experience.”
The Galaxy S26 FE will be released sequentially starting on the 4th of next month in major global markets, including South Korea, the U.S., the U.K., and Thailand. It will be available in three colors—Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio—and the domestic manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the 256GB storage model is 1,045,000 won.
Meanwhile, SamsungElectronics will begin accepting sign-ups for the “New Galaxy AI Subscription Club,” which guarantees up to 50% of the device’s residual value for unlocked device buyers, starting on the 4th, the launch date. Subscribers can choose plans ranging from one to three years, with benefits including Samsung Care+ coverage for damage and loss, as well as compensation for cyber financial crimes and peer-to-peer transaction fraud, depending on the plan duration. In addition, all customers who purchase the device will receive generous purchase benefits, such as a 6-month subscription to Google AI Pro, a 2-month subscription to Willa, and a 30% discount coupon for accessories on Samsung.com.
