According to their agency, Big Ocean ENM, on the 28th, iii will release their new digital single “WaiT” at 6:00 p.m. via various music streaming sites.
“WaiT” is a hip-hop dance track centered around a bass riff, powerful drums, and synth sounds. One-0-Five Label, which has collaborated with numerous artists, participated in the composition. While continuing the style iii showcased in their debut single “RE:AL iii” last year, the group has brought more intense music and performances to the forefront.
The change is also evident in the concept. For this new song, iii has transformed into agents on a secret mission. The previously released music video teaser shows the five members, set against the backdrop of a dark city, facing off against agents reminiscent of demons as they carry out their mission. It goes beyond a simple change in styling; it expands the iii universe—which they have been building since their debut—into a new narrative.
The performance is another key highlight of the new song. On the 27th, one day before the song’s release, iii unveiled the highlight choreography for “Wait.” The short video condensed the song’s powerful beat and the five members’ chic vibe, offering a glimpse of their performance ahead of their official stage debut.
For iii, who made their debut in the music industry last year with “Real i.i.i,” “Wait” is a single that further solidifies their identity since their debut. While their first release marked the starting point of their unique universe, this new release weaves together music, visuals, and performance into a cohesive narrative by introducing the characters of secret agents and their storylines.
