[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyung-il ] On the 3rd, independent research firm CMIR announced that Chai Communication Co., LTD. is showing both success at global advertising awards and improved second-quarter earnings, and expressed a positive assessment of the company’s improved fundamentals and growth potential.

According to CMIR, Chai Communication Co., LTD. won the Special Award for “Ad Agency of the Year” and the Gold Award in the Retail and Digital Commerce category at the “2026 Epica Awards Korea,” announced on the 31st of last month. The Epica Awards is a global advertising festival that comprehensively evaluates not only the creativity of advertising campaigns but also their actual business performance.
Analysts attribute these wins to the success of campaigns such as Gmarket’s “G-Rock Fest” campaign. Following a Grand Prix at the Seoul Video Advertising Festival, a Silver Award at AdFest, and a Bronze Award at Spikes Asia, this campaign continued its winning streak by also taking home an award at the Epica Awards. CMIR anticipates that its experience in planning, producing, and managing integrated campaigns for major e-commerce advertisers will serve as a key asset in new business development and competitive pitches.
Financial performance also improved. According to the report, Chai Communication Co., LTD.’s consolidated revenue for the second quarter rose 130.6% year-over-year to 26.42 billion won, while operating profit stood at 2.78 billion won. On a standalone basis, the company posted revenue of 16.35 billion won and operating profit of 1.44 billion won, marking a return to profitability after posting an operating loss in the first quarter. Standalone revenue rose 43.2% year-over-year, and the operating profit margin improved to 8.8%.
Chai Communication Co., LTD. is also diversifying its business structure. CMIR analyzed that the share of product sales in consolidated revenue expanded to 11% in the first half of this year. The firm explained that sales of medical devices and cosmetics from The S.C., a healthcare company acquired as a subsidiary in June of last year, have partially offset the seasonality of the company’s existing advertising commission-based business.
The company is also pushing to expand its AI business. Chai Communication Co., LTD. has commercialized the “CH.AI Agent” platform, which integrates its proprietary AI solutions, and plans to expand it into a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model available for external sales in the future.
Regarding the “Corporate Value Enhancement Plan 2026” announced last July, CMIR identified maintaining a 90% renewal rate for key advertisers, improving corporate governance, and reviewing share buybacks and dividends as key value-enhancement tasks.
Regarding valuation, CMIR noted that the current stock price stands at a price-to-book (P/B) ratio of 0.51—roughly half of the net asset value per share of 4,781 won—and assessed that the stock price could be revalued if the company continues to restore profitability in its core business and expand into new ventures.
