Targeting Gen Z: Prioritizing Experiences Over Technology
[Berlin = E-Daily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] SamsungElectronics is setting up a dedicated space for global influencers and content creators at “IFA 2026,” Europe’s largest consumer electronics trade show. Moving away from simply listing product specifications, the space is designed to let visitors experience Samsung’s connected artificial intelligence (AI) ecosystem through escape room games and content creation.

The Creator Hub is located in the “IFA Palais” within Messe Berlin, where the main IFA event takes place. Under the theme “A Home That Knows Me,” it combines an experiential space, a streaming studio, and a private lounge.
The exhibition space also stands out from typical home appliance booths. Featuring vibrant neon signs and an atmosphere reminiscent of Korean street food stalls and snack shops, it is designed to allow Gen Z and digital natives to naturally linger and create content. Rather than simply presenting its technology and products, SamsungElectronics plans to encourage creators to share their experiences in their own unique ways.
The flagship program is the “Samsung AI Escape Room,” which brings Samsung’s AI devices and SmartThings automation technology to life in a game format. Participants will complete a total of four missions guided by Google Gemini on the “Galaxy Z Fold8,” which serves as the digital game master.
The escape room space is equipped with a Bespoke AI washing machine, a Micro RGB TV, the lifestyle TV “The Frame Pro,” and a Smart Monitor. Participants will solve the given problems by utilizing the AI features built into each product and the connectivity between devices. Visitors can experience the escape room game through the lifestyle TV “The Frame Pro” from SamsungElectronics. Even spectators not directly participating in the escape room can watch the game unfolding inside in real time on these screens.
Guerrilla games will also be held. “Beat the Boat” is a game where participants use the camera-based “AI Vision” feature of the Family Hub refrigerator to guess the quantity of ingredients stored inside. This allows participants to experience the process of AI recognizing and managing ingredients through gameplay.
Separate from the Creator Hub at Messe Berlin, SamsungElectronics will also operate a standalone exhibition hall from the 2nd to the 6th at the “Humboldt Karre” convention center in downtown Berlin under the theme “Your AI Daily Companion.” There, the company will showcase the “AI Living” experience, which connects TVs, home appliances, and mobile devices to assist with everyday activities such as leisure and household chores. Visitors can also watch the escape room challenge taking place inside in real time via a SamsungElectronics OLED TV. (Photo: SamsungElectronics)
