[Edaily Reporter YU JIN-HEE ] #Remedy, a company specializing in ultra-compact X-ray technology, has secured a contract to supply its equipment to the American Medical Administrators (AMA), a U.S. healthcare services group, and is now fully launching its push into the world’s largest healthcare market. This achievement goes beyond simply exporting equipment; it marks the successful implementation of an integrated healthcare platform model—combining AI image analysis and remote diagnosis—in the U.S. market.

Collaboration with “U.S. Healthcare Administration Giant” AMA… Fruits of a Unified Team with MIT and MBA-Trained Specialists
According to investment banks (IBs) and the medical device industry on the 1st, Remedy recently signed a contract with the AMA Group to supply portable X-ray diagnostic equipment and ultrasound devices. Remedy will supply the equipment to the U.S. market upon receipt of the contract payment and plans to immediately conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) trials at major medical institutions across the United States.
AMA, with which Remedy has partnered, is a leading U.S. healthcare services group that operates numerous hospitals, clinics, and specialized screening centers across the country on a contract basis and provides integrated healthcare solutions. Leveraging its extensive healthcare network, it operates comprehensive healthcare administration and management businesses ranging from primary care to specialized diagnostic imaging.
It is reported that Remedy’s success in securing this supply agreement with AMA was made possible in large part by the full support of Dr. Kaushal Meta, MD, a U.S.-based radiologist who had previously been granted stock options by Remedy and joined the company as a key advisor. He is a U.S. healthcare management expert who completed his residency at Yale University and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering and Applied Science while working as a radiologist. He is an MIT alumnus and a classmate of Remedy’s founder, Professor Irena of Ewha Womans University.
As a multidisciplinary professional who completed both the engineering and MBA programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he spearheaded this deal by precisely aligning the structural needs of the U.S. healthcare system with Remedy’s ultra-compact imaging platform.
Furthermore, by leveraging its world-class, proven ultra-compact, low-dose core technology—which was even selected as the final model to be installed on NASA spacecraft—the company has successfully broken through the barriers to entry in the conservative U.S. healthcare market. Starting with this supply agreement, Remedy will fully deploy its integrated diagnostic platform—which spans on-site patient imaging, AI image analysis, and remote interpretation by specialists—to U.S. healthcare institutions. After firmly demonstrating clinical efficacy and service viability through an initial proof of concept (PoC), the company plans to significantly expand its distribution network to hospitals and screening centers affiliated with the AMA across the United States by strengthening its partnership with the organization.
If this plan comes to fruition, Remedy’s growth is expected to accelerate even further. According to market research firm Fortune Business Insights, the global handheld (ultra-compact, portable) X-ray market is projected to reach approximately $810 million (about 1.1 trillion won) by 2025, with North America accounting for about 30.9% of that total.
Remedy has previously grown its performance by diversifying its global sales channels. As a result, revenue in the first half of this year has already far surpassed last year’s full-year results. Remedy’s consolidated revenue for the first half of this year reached 15.5 billion won, surpassing its full-year revenue of 14.6 billion won for 2025 in just one half-year. During the same period, operating profit reached 6.1 billion won, marking explosive growth—more than double the previous year’s annual operating profit of 2.75 billion won. The operating profit margin is approaching approximately 40%, one of the highest levels in the manufacturing industry.
Of particular note is the proportion of exports. Domestic sales in the first half totaled 1.4 billion won, similar to the previous year, but exports soared to 13.9 billion won, instantly surpassing the previous year’s annual export figure of 12.2 billion won. Direct export sales—generated solely through direct sales in overseas markets—amounted to approximately 3.4 billion won, driving the improvement in profitability.
Securities analysts predict that Remedy will easily surpass 20 billion won in annual revenue—the highest in the company’s history—this year, leveraging its expanded supply to the American Medical Association (AMA) and increased public healthcare procurement contracts in Asia in the second half of the year.

A Unique “Ultra-Lightweight, Low-Dose” Platform… Extending Beyond Healthcare to Non-Destructive Testing of LGELECTRONICS Batteries
Founded in July 2012, Remedy is a specialist in ultra-lightweight, low-dose X-ray technology that has independently developed precision output control technology, ultra-high vacuum sealing technology, and compact high-voltage generation technology. Its flagship product, the portable X-ray diagnostic device “Remex-KA6,” has become essential equipment in settings with limited access to medical care—such as emergency rooms, intensive care units, home visits, and mobile screening vehicles—thanks to its light weight and portability. Following its participation in India’s National Tuberculosis Control Program—where it supplied 1,534 units to the central government—the company delivered an additional 750 units in the first half of this year, building a track record in international public procurement. Recently, it was the sole company to pass the technical evaluation in a portable X-ray procurement bid by the state government of Odisha, India—a state with a population of 46 million—bringing expansion at the state government level within reach.
In addition, the company has agreed to prioritize the establishment of imaging diagnostic services and pilot projects with officials from local university hospitals and health centers in Jakarta, Indonesia. Due to Indonesia’s geography—comprising some 17,000 islands—there is very high demand for mobile medical equipment and remote diagnostics. Remedy already has a proven track record of supplying compact X-ray equipment to local health centers last year through an Indonesian government tender. Building on this track record of reliability, the company plans to expand its business model beyond hardware sales to include the operation of diagnostic and remote interpretation services.
The scalability of Remedy’s platform technology is also extending into the field of industrial nondestructive testing. Remedy has completed the delivery of a total of 13 sets of the “RIX-B100” integrated X-ray monoblock—the core module of a battery nondestructive testing device co-developed with LGELECTRONICS(066570)—to actual battery mass production lines. The RIX-B100 has secured global credibility by obtaining UL certification, a U.S. safety standard, and the company plans to expand its reach into the semiconductor, electronic component, and automotive parts inspection markets in the future.
A Remedy official emphasized, “Our entry into the world’s largest market has successfully materialized thanks to the combination of our unrivaled technological capabilities—proven through projects such as the NASA initiative and large-scale government procurement in India—and our network of local specialists in the U.S.” The official added, “Building on the success of our Proof of Concept (PoC), we will rapidly expand our supply scale in the U.S. to emerge as a global leader in AI medical imaging platforms.”
