Lee Sang-soon has been advised by medical professionals to rest due to symptoms of “vagus nerve dysfunction” and plans to focus on treatment and recovery for the time being.

On the 6th, Lee Sang-soon posted on his Instagram, “Many of you have been worried because I haven’t been able to host my radio show for several days now. I’d like to apologize to my listeners for taking a break from the show without any prior explanation.”
He continued, “Last Wednesday, I suddenly felt unwell and was unable to host the radio show, so I underwent various tests and consultations afterward.” He explained, “Although I am still awaiting more detailed test results, following the medical team’s recommendation that I need rest due to a neurological condition known as ‘vagus nerve dysfunction,’ I am reluctantly taking a break from the radio to rest.”
He also expressed his determination to recover. Lee Sang-soon said, “I’ve been told that if I get plenty of rest, I’ll gradually recover, so I’ll take this opportunity to take the time I need to fully restore my health before returning.”
Regarding why he announced his health condition so late, he explained, “Since I didn’t know when I would recover myself, I kept thinking, ‘If I’m okay tomorrow, I’ll go back on the air,’ which is why this post is late,” adding, “I’ll use this opportunity to thoroughly check my overall physical condition and fully recover so that I can return to you all in good health.”
His agency, Antenna, also announced Lee Sang-soon’s health status and future plans that day. Antenna explained, “Lee Sang-soon recently received medical treatment due to a sudden decline in his physical condition, and in accordance with the medical team’s recommendation that he needs rest due to ‘vagus nerve dysfunction,’ he is currently taking a brief hiatus from his radio show.”
They added, “We plan to actively support the artist so he can fully focus on his recovery,” and noted, “Future schedules will be flexibly adjusted based on a comprehensive assessment of the artist’s recovery progress.”
Lee Sang-soon’s health issues first came to light on the 26th of last month. On that day, during MBC FM4U’s “A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon,” singer Thomas Cook, a regular guest, took over the opening segment. Thomas Cook began the broadcast by saying, “Soondi (Lee Sang-soon’s DJ nickname) is running a bit late due to feeling under the weather.”
Later, toward the end of the broadcast, Lee Sang-soon appeared in the studio and apologized, saying, “I’m sorry for arriving so late. Actually, I was at MBC, but I wasn’t feeling well, so I was lying down in the infirmary. I’m sorry to anyone who was worried.” At the time, he expressed his intention to return, saying, “I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon.”
However, Lee Sang-soon was still absent from the DJ booth the following day, the 27th, and was unable to appear on the show for ten days, through the 5th. As the hiatus dragged on without any specific explanation, listeners began to express concern about his health, prompting Lee Sang-soon to personally explain the current situation.
