[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] On the 8th, Yuanta Securities Korea analyzed GalaxiaMoneytree Co.,Ltd.(094480), stating, “Considering that online shopping transaction volume is expected to increase in the second half compared to the first half, second-half earnings are expected to improve compared to first-half earnings.” However, the firm did not provide an investment rating or a target price.

GalaxiaMoneytree Co.,Ltd. is a specialized payment service provider for electronic fund transfers, with its main businesses including △ electronic payment services (credit card payments, mobile payments) and △ O2O (mobile gift certificates, convenience store payments, prepaid recharge cards). In the first half of the year, the electronic payment division’s revenue reached 50.78 billion won, an 11.8% increase year-over-year, while operating profit grew 7.3% year-over-year to 10.23 billion won.
Kwon Myung-jun, an analyst at Yuanta Securities Korea, explained, “The growth of the electronic payment division is driven by an expansion in credit card merchant transactions (with platforms such as Weverse, Nexon, and Bungeojangteo) and the growth of B2B services (corporate-exclusive cards and large-scale overseas remittance processing). As domestic online shopping transaction volumes are expected to continue growing through 2026, we anticipate that the electronic payment division’s growth trend will also continue.”
The company is also expected to benefit once the tokenized securities market takes off in earnest. Previously, on the 4th, the Financial Services Commission announced its policy direction for tokenized securities at the third meeting of the public-private joint task force on tokenized securities. Accordingly, fractional investments—which are easily tokenized—will be permitted to be tokenized as public offering fractional investment securities starting from Phase 1 of tokenization (February 2027).
Analyst Kwon explained, “GalaxiaMoneytree Co.,Ltd.’s blockchain-based investment platform service for trust income securities related to aircraft engine leases was designated as an Innovative Financial Service in April 2024. Although the company had planned to launch Korea’s first fractional investment product for aircraft engines in 2025, the launch was delayed due to the institutionalization of the license for income securities investment brokerage.”
He emphasized, “Given that fractional investment using tokenization will be permitted immediately upon the law’s enforcement in February 2027, we expect the launch of the aircraft engine fractional investment product—which has been in preparation for several years—in 2027. Furthermore, unlike Innovative Financial Services, the income securities investment brokerage business has no restrictions on the types of securities that can be issued,” adding, “If the initial product is successful, it is highly likely to be expanded and diversified into a variety of other products.”
