[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] The Netflix series “Field Mouse” topped the global Top 10 non-English shows chart in its second week of release.
According to Netflix’s official site, Tudum, from the 31st of last month through the 6th of this month, “Field Mouse” recorded 4.4 million views (views divided by the show’s total runtime) and ranked No. 1 on the global Top 10 non-English TV shows list. Total viewing time was recorded at 41.5 million. The series made the Top 10 in a total of 45 countries, including South Korea, Malaysia, Oman, the Philippines, Argentina, Mexico, Hungary, Egypt, and Nigeria.
“Field Mouse” is a chase thriller that follows novelist “Moon Jae,” who has had his name, face, and entire life stolen by a mysterious entity known as “Field Mouse”; loan shark “No Ja,” who is trying to recover his lost money; and detective “Sun-yong” as they pursue the true identity of Field Mouse.
It was released worldwide as a Netflix series on the 28th of last month and ranked fifth among non-English TV shows in its first week. It reached the top spot in just two weeks.
In addition, the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama “Four Hands,” starring Song Kang and Lee Jun-young, ranked 5th with 2 million views; “Such a Shitty Love,” starring Jung Hae-in and Ha Young, ranked 7th with 1.5 million views; and “Creepy Romance,” starring Park Eun-bin and Yang Se-jong, ranked 10th with 1 million views.
“Field Mouse” is currently streaming on Netflix.
