[Edaily Reporter KIM YOON-JEONG ] The KOSPI is trading in a narrow range early in the session on the 10th. This comes as international oil prices have surpassed $100 per barrel and U.S. long-term Treasury yields have surged, weighing on investor sentiment. With today marking the simultaneous expiration date for domestic futures and options contracts, investors also appear to be on guard against potential volatility in supply and demand.

Overnight, U.S. stock markets fell for the third consecutive day as international oil prices and long-term U.S. Treasury yields rose in tandem. Han Ji-young, an analyst at KIWOOM Securities, stated, “We expect the domestic stock market today to give back some of the previous day’s gains, as it is influenced by weakness in the U.S. stock market due to rising oil prices and U.S. long-term interest rates, as well as volatility in the supply and demand of spot and futures contracts resulting from the simultaneous expiration of domestic futures and options contracts.”
