[Edaily Reporter Kim Jinsoo ] On the 10th, shares of DRTECH Corporation(214680), which resumed trading after completing a stock consolidation, experienced significant volatility in the pharmaceutical and biotech sector. DRTECH Corporation attracted investor attention amid expectations that its flagship product, the surgical C-arm system, would expand its presence in the global market.

Subsequently, the stock prices of HLB innoVation(024850)and #L&K BIOMED CO., LTD. rose, reflecting expectations regarding the release of clinical trial results for CAR-T therapies in the second half of the year and the signing of a global distribution agreement for spinal implant products, respectively.

DRTECH Corporation Resumes Trading, Shares Rise on FDA Approval of Key Product
According to KG Zeroin MP Doctor (MP Doctor, formerly Marketpoint), DRTECH Corporation, which resumed trading after completing all stock consolidation procedures, drew significant attention by hitting the daily price limit during the session. However, it subsequently gave up some of its gains, ultimately closing at 5,040 won, up 5.00% from the previous day.

Analysts attribute the attention DRTECH Corporation received today to the fact that its premium surgical C-arm system, the “EXTRON 6,” has obtained approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The EXTRON series is a surgical diagnostic imaging system that combines DRTECH Corporation’s in-house-produced image detectors with its proprietary image processing technology. EXTRON 6 is an orthopedic product designed to enable imaging from various angles even in cramped operating rooms, thanks to its overhead X-ray generator structure and wide range of movement and rotation. It also incorporates low-dose image processing technology, reducing radiation exposure to an average of one-fifth and, at most, one-fifteenth of that of competing products.

DRTECH Corporation currently sells the Extron 3, 5, 6, and 7 models and is also developing the Extron 2 and 4, as well as the Mini C-arm and 3D imaging products Extron 8 and 9. The company’s strategy is to meet demand across different hospital sizes, surgical specialties, and price ranges by expanding its product lineup.

Sales of the Extron series are growing rapidly. In the first half of this year, Extron sales reached 9.4 billion won—a 52% increase year-over-year—driven by expanded supply to the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. During the same period, DRTECH Corporation’s total sales rose 17% to 68.9 billion won, marking a record high for a half-year period. Operating profit also turned positive at 1.3 billion won, compared to a 2.6 billion won loss in the same period last year.

Based on its FDA certification, DRTECH Corporation plans to expand sales in the U.S. while also strengthening its efforts to target European and Middle Eastern markets, as well as global B2B clients and government tender markets.

In particular, having completed a stock split, DRTECH Corporation expects to stabilize its stock price by aligning its capital structure with industry norms and maintaining an appropriate number of shares outstanding. Furthermore, if profitability continues to improve, this is expected to have a positive impact on per-share value.

A DRTECH Corporation official stated, “We will build on the momentum of strong first-half performance and make this year a year of major transformation, achieving both quantitative and qualitative growth.”

HLB innoVation: Anticipating Clinical Results for CAR-T Therapy
HLB innoVation’s stock price closed at 16,590 won, up 10.38% from the previous day. The rise in HLB innoVation’s stock price is attributed to anticipation surrounding the announcement of interim Phase 1 results for “SynKIR-310,” a CAR-T therapy for blood cancer being developed by its U.S. subsidiary, Verismo Therapeutics (Verismo).

SynKIR-310 is a CAR-T therapy for blood cancers that targets CD19 and utilizes the “KIR-CAR platform” developed by Verismo. KIR-CAR activates upon detecting cancer cells and deactivates once the cancer cells are destroyed. Through this mechanism, preclinical studies have confirmed that it produces lower levels of inflammatory cytokines than some existing CAR-T therapies.

SynKIR-310 also demonstrates excellent efficacy. In an early-stage clinical trial, a patient with follicular lymphoma who received the lowest dose of SynKIR-310 achieved complete remission (CR) just 28 days after administration, and the response persisted for more than six months.

HLB innoVation expects that these interim results will provide a more detailed assessment of the treatment’s efficacy and safety following an expansion of the patient cohort and dosage range.

However, it has not yet been confirmed at which specific academic conference these findings will be presented. Industry observers speculate that the interim Phase 1 clinical data for SynKIR-310 will be unveiled at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) meeting scheduled for December.

An HLB innoVation official stated, “SynKIR-310 has secured safety data in early-stage clinical trials and has now entered the high-dose evaluation phase.”

L&K BIOMED CO., LTD. Shares Rise on Rumors of Global Distribution Agreement
L&K BIOMED CO., LTD.’s stock price closed at 5,590 won, up 7.50% from the previous day. The stock price rose over five trading days, climbing from a closing price of 3,860 won on the 3rd to 5,590 won on the 10th. During this period, the stock price increased by approximately 45%.

The rise in L&K BIOMED CO., LTD.’s stock price is believed to be driven by market rumors that a distribution agreement for spinal implant products with a global company will be finalized soon.

L&K BIOMED CO., LTD. is currently pursuing distribution agreements with several companies, including global firms. Specifically, the company is in discussions regarding contracts to supply spinal implants to Asia and Europe. While the United States was initially part of the discussions, the counterparty unilaterally suspended talks regarding a distribution agreement for the U.S. market.

The agreements are expected to be finalized for the Asian region first. L&K BIOMED CO., LTD. plans to enhance its brand recognition through these distribution agreements in Asia.

To mitigate risk, L&K BIOMED CO., LTD. is simultaneously conducting discussions with multiple other European companies in addition to the global firm with which it was already in talks regarding the European market. These companies are analyzed to possess a competitive edge due to their strong local distribution networks in Europe.

An L&K BIOMED CO., LTD. official stated, “There is no clear reason for the rise in the stock price,” adding, “Negotiations for a contract with a major global company are still ongoing.”
