In Episode 5 of tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Four Hands,” set to air on the 12th, Kang Biao (played by Song Kang) and Choi Jeong-yo (played by Lee Jun-young) will draw attention as they compete side by side in an international piano competition held overseas.
Up until now, student pianists Kang Bi-o and Choi Jeong-yo have grown together, inspiring each other’s music. Kang Bi-o served as a steadfast source of support, helping Choi Jeong-yo overcome his stage fright and return to the stage, while Choi Jeong-yo awakened the joy of free-spirited performance in Kang Bi-o’s music, which had previously been confined to set patterns.
Amid this, Kang Bi-o and Choi Jeong-yo are set to take the stage together—not as practice partners, but as competitors—heralding an inevitable showdown. Previously, Kang Bi-o’s grandfather, world-renowned conductor Kang Seung-woon (played by Jeong Jin-young), had expressed conflicting views by dismissing Kang Bi-o’s talent while highly praising Choi Jeong-yo’s.
Putting aside their happy memories of playing together, Kang Biao and Choi Jeong-yo now face each other as competitors, their faces bearing a solemn expression. Amid the solemn atmosphere, the two are deeply absorbed in their respective melodies, revealing their serious attitude toward this performance.
The contrasting demeanors of Kang Biao and Choi Jeong-yo as they sit in the audience also catch the eye. While Kang Biao stares intently at the stage with a resolute expression, Choi Jeong-yo glances around, keenly attuned to the atmosphere in the hall.
With Kang Biao and Choi Jeong-yo set to stand side by side on the international competition stage, viewers are curious to see if they will be able to fully demonstrate their skills among such formidable competitors—and, furthermore, whether one of them will emerge as the winner and claim the top prize at the international competition.
“Four Hands” is a drama that depicts the friendship, love, competition, and growth of young people who meet at an arts high school populated exclusively by musical prodigies. It airs on the 12th at 9:10 p.m.
