On this map-based website, users can easily view facilities in downtown Busan suitable for hosting events—including hotels and lodging (56 locations), unique venues (20 locations), convention centers (2 locations), and universities and institutions (2 locations)—categorized into four types at a glance. It also features convenient search functions using location and facility names, as well as directions and direct links to websites.(Photo: Sustainable MICE Management Forum) ◇Sustainable MICE Management Forum The “Sustainable MICE Management Forum” (SMMF) will be held on the 18th in the Grand Conference Room at Seoul MICE Plaza, located on the 7th floor of Building D, Le West City, Magok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The forum, which begins at 1:30 p.m., will feature lectures by Han Jin-young, President of the Korea MICE Tourism Association, and Father Joseph Lee Young-je, Executive Director of the 2027 World Youth Day (WYD) for the Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul, on the topic of “Sustainable Event Strategies for WYD 2027.” Admission is free.(Photo courtesy of the Korea PCO Association) ◇PCO Association Call for New MICE Event Ideas The Korea PCO Association is holding a contest for “New MICE Event Ideas” until November 15. The contest is open to teams of two or more undergraduate or graduate students. Entrants may choose either a free-form topic or a region-specific topic (Sejong, Suwon, or Jeonju) and submit their proposals via email. A total of six winning teams will receive prize money ranging from 500,000 to 1.5 million won and certificates (awarded by the Korea Tourism Organization and the PCO Association). In addition, they will receive support for commercialization to help turn their ideas into actual events.
