[E-Daily Kim Hyung-il Reporter] Independent research firm Value Finder assessed YoungWoo DSP Co.,Ltd.(143540)as a company poised to benefit from the recovery in the organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display market while also offering potential for expansion in its semiconductor testing equipment business.

On the 15th, Lee Chung-heon, a researcher at Value Finder, analyzed, “YoungWoo DSP Co.,Ltd. is securing a foundation for earnings growth based on the technological capabilities it has accumulated in the display inspection equipment sector and its track record with major clients.” He also highlighted the potential for increased demand for inspection equipment in the medium to long term, driven by the expansion of OLED-enabled product lines and ongoing capacity expansions by domestic and international display manufacturers.

The scope of OLED applications is expanding to include laptops, tablets, and automotive displays. The report assessed that Samsung Display’s full-scale mass production of 8.6-generation OLEDs, its investment plans for the A7 line, and new investments by Chinese display manufacturers are likely to lead to an increase in future orders for inspection equipment.

The report also viewed positively the fact that YoungWoo DSP Co.,Ltd. has maintained a long-term partnership with Samsung Display, securing references across the entire production process—from substrate inspection to cell and module testing. The analysis suggests that the company stands to benefit from its inspection equipment business if the expansion of OLED production capacity continues.

Earnings are also showing an upward trend. YoungWoo DSP Co.,Ltd. returned to profitability last year, recording consolidated revenue of 80.5 billion won and operating profit of 5.9 billion won. In the first half of this year, the company posted revenue of 39.9 billion won, operating profit of 3.7 billion won, and net income of 4.9 billion won. The operating profit margin rose from 7.3% in 2025 to 9.3% in the first half of this year.

The expansion of its semiconductor inspection equipment business was also highlighted as a key investment point. YoungWoo DSP Co.,Ltd. is entering the semiconductor market with its in-house developed “VEGA S-1000,” a 2D and 3D wafer bump inspection system. Last August, the company secured its first semiconductor equipment order worth 1.09 billion won. ValueFinder assessed this as the first tangible result of expanding the company’s display-centric business structure into the semiconductor sector.

The VEGA S-1000 is a device that inspects the shape and defects of wafer bumps in advanced packaging processes. ValueFinder analyzed that the equipment offers higher processing speeds compared to competitors and projected that, should supply to domestic and international back-end (OSAT) companies expand, it could contribute to customer diversification and the expansion of the company’s business portfolio.

The analyst stated, “While YoungWoo DSP Co.,Ltd. is expected to benefit from the domestic and international OLED capacity expansion cycle, it is securing a new growth engine through its semiconductor inspection equipment business,” adding, “Whether the company secures additional orders for semiconductor inspection equipment and expands its reference base will be a key factor in future corporate value growth.”
