[Edaily Starin YUN GI BACK Reporter] Singer Ha Hyun-sang is ending his eight-year partnership with Wake One.

On the 18th, Wake One announced via its official social media accounts, “Following in-depth discussions with Ha Hyun-sang, we have mutually agreed to terminate the exclusive contract while respecting each other’s opinions.”
The agency said, “We are grateful for the sincerity and effort the artist has shown through his music over the past eight years,” adding, “We also extend our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have supported him.”
They added, “We ask for your unwavering love and warm encouragement so that Ha Hyun-sang, as he embarks on a new journey, can continue to fully express his music and stories.”
Ha Hyun-sang has been active as a singer-songwriter, establishing his own unique sensibility and musical style. With the termination of this contract, he is bringing his eight-year journey with Wake One to a close and will now explore new directions for his career.
Ha Hyun-sang debuted in February 2018 with the single “Dawn.” He subsequently gained recognition as a member of the band Hopipola, formed through JTBC’s “Superband,” and has consistently continued his musical activities as a solo singer-songwriter.
In April of this year, he released his second full-length album, “New Boat,” his first in about three years. The album features a variety of genres, including rock, gospel, and pop ballads, and Ha Hyun-sang was directly involved in the production of every track. Prior to the album’s release, he held a solo concert titled “Archive Live New Boat” at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park from April 3 to 5, and subsequently performed at major concerts and festivals such as “Lovesome Festival,” “Beautiful Mint Life,” “WeverseCon Festival,” and “Soundberry Festa.”
