[Edaily Reporter Kang Min-koo ] Users of the prepaid card platform “MobilCard” can now enjoy additional discounts at restaurants such as Modou and Donghwa Go-ok.

KGMobilians Co., Ltd.(046440), a comprehensive digital financial services company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to allow MobilCard users to receive up to 15% in ongoing discounts at major brands operated by the restaurant group Open.

MobilCard is a rechargeable prepaid card that can be easily topped up via various methods—such as mobile payments, bank transfers, and credit cards—and used at credit card merchant locations nationwide, both online and offline. Through this partnership, the convenience of MobilCard payments is now complemented by ongoing discounts at dining brands.

Open, a dining company established in 2015, operates numerous premium dining brands, including Amso Seoul, Modou, Donghwa Gook, Tokyo Sirloin, Seoul Roin, and Hanam-dong.

Customers who pay with Mobil Card can receive a 15% discount at Modou, Donghwa Gook, Seoul Roin, and Hanam-dong, all operated by Open. A 10% discount applies at Lavender and Amso Seoul locations, respectively.

KG Financial and Open have agreed to offer ongoing discounts when customers pay with Mobil Card—without any complicated procedures—to help alleviate the burden of rising dining costs.

The discount is applied automatically when paying with Mobil Card at partner locations, without the need to download separate coupons or sign up in advance. Details can be found through various online and offline channels, including in-store table order systems and counters, Naver Reservations, and CatchTable.

KG Financial is expanding the Mobil Card beyond a simple prepaid payment method into a lifestyle-oriented platform that allows users to experience tangible benefits in their daily spending. Following existing benefits such as KFC discounts and point accrual for barcode payments, this partnership with Open has extended the scope of benefits to include dining. The company plans to further expand partnership benefits across all aspects of daily life, including dining, cafes, and shopping.

A KG Financial spokesperson stated, “MobilCard is a card that allows users to conveniently make payments at credit card merchants nationwide after loading funds and receive additional benefits simply by making a purchase.” The spokesperson added, “We will continue to expand the benefits that MobilCard users experience in their daily lives through partnerships with brands frequently used in everyday activities—such as dining, cafes, and shopping—and develop MobilCard into a lifestyle-oriented platform that seamlessly connects payments with consumer benefits.”
