[Edaily Starin Choi Hee-jae Reporter] Hollywood actor Justin Min is set to meet Korean audiences with “A Flowing Journey,” his first Korean feature film in which he plays the lead role.

Distributor Jinjin Film announced on the 22nd that “*A Flowing Journey* is set to open on the 28th of next month.” Along with this announcement, the company released two character posters and a teaser trailer.
*A Flowing Journey* is the second feature film from director Kim Jin-yu (*I Am Barley*) in six years. It tells the story of “Chun-hee,” who, after losing her husband, is preparing for a journey of her own when she encounters unexpected connections in her new apartment, causing a new melody to begin flowing through her once-quiet daily life.

The two character posters released first draw attention by capturing the distinct journeys of “Chun-hee” and “Min-jun,” the film’s central characters. The character poster for “Chun-hee”—played by Kim Hye-ok—who is preparing for her own journey, features her warm smile alongside the grand piano left behind by her husband.
The phrase “We flow on like that” foreshadows the story of “Chun-hee,” who continues her daily life even after the death of her husband and prepares for her own new journey. It also heightens curiosity about what will unfold for “Chun-hee,” who has cherished the piano and car left behind by her husband.
The character poster for “Min-jun,” the conductor who has come to find his family, features him intently conducting an orchestra against the backdrop of an airport scene. “Min-jun,” a renowned conductor, has left Germany—where he was adopted as a child—and traveled to Korea to find the mother who gave birth to him.

The teaser trailer for *A Flowing Journey*, released alongside the character posters, features a letter from “Chun-hee” in the film, narrated by Justin Min, adding to the immersive experience and leaving a lasting impression. As the narration states, “We are Moon Chun-hee and Kim Hyun-cheol, living in South Korea,” the scene shifts to “Chun-hee” moving into her new home—surrounded by cherry blossoms in full bloom—along with the car and grand piano left behind by her husband.
In her new apartment, she meets her neighbor “Min-jun”; we see “Chun-hee” gazing at two plane tickets, then going grocery shopping with “Min-jun,” and taking piano lessons from him—spending their days together like mother and son. Accompanied by the narration, “They say everything in the world goes in circles. Just as youth passes like flowers blooming and fading, our meetings and partings must be a natural part of life, right?” This narration sparks curiosity about what journey lies ahead for the two of them.
“Flowing Journey” heightens anticipation as it marks Justin Min’s first leading role in a Korean feature film; he has made a name for himself among global audiences through series such as “The Umbrella Academy” and “After Yang.” Furthermore, the film has been recognized for its artistic merit through invitations to numerous prestigious domestic and international film festivals, including the Korean Directors’ Guild Plus M Award and the KBS Independent Film Award at the 30th Busan International Film Festival; the New Vision Award at the 51st Seoul Independent Film Festival; the competition section at the 48th Moscow International Film Festival; the 25th New York Asian Film Festival; and the 27th Jeonju International Film Festival.
