“DALMAJUNG” is a merchandise brand launched by BTS in 2021. Through this brand, BTS has introduced a variety of products that blend the unique beauty of traditional Korean culture with the group’s brand value. Previously, in 2024, BTS conducted its first collaboration with the National Museum Foundation, selling products that reinterpreted traditional cultural heritage such as the Seated Buddha Statue and white porcelain moon jars.
Jeong Yong-seok, President of the National Museum Culture Foundation, stated, “The ‘Dalmajung’ series, introduced through our first collaboration, achieved meaningful results in promoting the beauty and excellence of Korea’s cultural heritage overseas, leading us to continue our collaboration this year as well.”
This time, the company is unveiling products that offer a modern reinterpretation of “Munjado,” a traditional Korean art form. “Munjado” is a type of folk painting from the Joseon Dynasty in which images are drawn within or around the strokes of characters. HYBE explained, “We developed these products by incorporating the message from ‘Aliens,’ a track on our fifth studio album ‘ARIRANG,’ along with elements from Joseon-era ‘Munjado’ artifacts housed in the National Museum of Korea’s collection.”

“Aliens” is a song that conveys the message, “What appears ominous on the surface ultimately leads to great fortune.” HYBE stated, “We linked the main motif, ‘Hyeongjeok Daegil’ (凶則大吉), to the traditional meanings of happiness, filial piety, and longevity inherent in ‘Munjado,’ and designed products imbued with happiness, good fortune, and wishes to pray for a better daily life and a peaceful existence.”
A total of 13 products will be released, including: △ a mini desk broom for sweeping up good fortune; △ a ceramic jar that purifies negative energy and attracts financial luck; △ a pollock-shaped charm magnet designed to ward off misfortune; △ a mini pouch modeled after the ceramic jar; and △ a set of seven marbles in a pouch.
To celebrate the launch of the collaboration merchandise, HYBE will open a pop-up store on the first floor of its Yongsan headquarters. The pop-up store will be open from the day of the launch until the 11th of next month. Advance reservations for visits will be available starting at 2:00 p.m. today via the fan platform Weverse. This series will also be available for purchase at Weverse Shop and the gift shop inside the National Museum of Korea.
