SamsungElectronics announced that it participated in the “2026 Mexico K-Expo,” held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City from the 24th to the 27th (local time). The Mexico K-Expo is a Hallyu (Korean Wave) content event hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency. It showcases a variety of Korean cultural content, including K-pop, games, video, beauty, fashion, and food.
At the event, SamsungElectronics showcased AI experiences that integrate smartphones, TVs, monitors, wearables, and home appliances, centered around Galaxy AI, Vision AI Companion, and SmartThings. Rather than simply displaying individual products, the company set up an interactive space where visitors could enjoy K-culture by connecting various devices and AI features.
Visitors experienced real-time translation, photo and video capture, and content creation using Galaxy AI on the Galaxy Z Series. The “Vision AI Companion,” featured on the 2026 Samsung TV lineup, showcased its ability to recommend personalized content to users based on conversational AI.
The company also demonstrated the interconnected device experience via SmartThings. It showcased how Galaxy devices, TVs, and Bespoke AI home appliances can be seamlessly connected to control devices and manage energy consumption all in one place.
The SamsungElectronics booth also featured a K-pop Bar, a Streamer Studio, a TV Room, a Gaming Zone, and a Wellness Zone. At the K-pop Bar and Streamer Studio, visitors could experience content creation using the Galaxy Z Series and Galaxy AI.
The TV Room was set up to allow visitors to enjoy K-dramas, performances, and works of art on Micro RGB and The Frame Pro TVs. The Gaming Zone featured the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9. In the Wellness Zone, the company introduced features that allow users to check health metrics—such as activity levels and sleep patterns—by linking the Galaxy Watch9 with Samsung Health.
Yoon Ho-yong, Executive Vice President and Head of SamsungElectronics Mexico, said, “The 2026 Mexico K-Expo was an opportunity for SamsungElectronics’ AI and hyper-connected ecosystem to connect with the K-culture fanbase in Latin America,” adding, “We will continue to expand our products and services so that more people can conveniently experience cultural content in their daily lives.”
