[Edaily Starin Gim Ga Yeong Reporter] Actor and director Lee Yu-jin and actress Cha Kyung-eun are getting married.
On the 6th, a representative for Lee Yu-jin stated, “Lee Yu-jin will marry actress Cha Kyung-eun on November 14 at a location in Seoul.” The two first met on the set of Lee Yu-jin’s directorial debut, *If You See the Way, Cast Me!*. It is reported that Lee Yu-jin fell for Cha Kyung-eun at first sight while preparing for filming, and Cha Kyung-eun also developed feelings for him. The two naturally grew closer while working on the project and built mutual trust. After filming wrapped, Lee Yu-jin was the first to express his serious feelings and actively pursue her, and Cha Kyung-eun reciprocated; the couple began officially dating in June with the intention of marriage. As their commitment to each other deepened, the couple decided to spend the rest of their lives together and immediately informed both families of their decision, receiving their blessing. Since their intention to marry was clear from the very beginning of their relationship, preparations proceeded without delay; reportedly, both families were surprised by the couple’s bold decision and determination. The wedding is scheduled to be held privately, attended only by family members from both sides and close acquaintances. Lee Yu-jin’s representatives stated, “We ask for your understanding as we are not disclosing specific details, such as the venue, out of consideration for our families and guests.” Lee Yu-jin is also well known as the son of actress Lee Hyo-jung. After making his debut in the 2013 MBC drama *Jung-i, the Goddess of Fire*, he has appeared in numerous productions, including *Youth Era 2*, *My Wife I Know*, *Melo Is My Nature*, *Do You Like Brahms?*, and *Three Brave Siblings*. He has also appeared in films such as “Two Men,” “Dad Is a Daughter,” and “I’m Coming to Meet You.” In particular, he garnered attention by appearing on MBC’s “I Live Alone,” where he showcased his expert-level DIY interior design skills. Through the show, he received support from viewers as he demonstrated how he used a “Youth Support Jeonse Loan” to move out of his semi-basement apartment. Born in 1992, Lee Yu-jin expanded her career this year to include directing. Last May, she participated in ENA’s short drama directing competition program “Directors’ Arena” and achieved a meaningful result in her first directing challenge by placing second with her entry “If You See the Way, Cast Me!” Cha Kyung-eun, born in 1998, made her debut in 2021 with the short film “Peach” and gained recognition by starring in the web drama “PICKGO.” She has since appeared in U+ Mobile TV’s “The Future of the Future” and the sketch comedy “Shortbox,” and served as a regular cast member on Coupang Play’s “SNL Korea Reboot Season 7.” A representative for Lee Yu-jin stated, “We hope you’ll send your warm blessings to Lee Yu-jin and Cha Kyung-eun as they embark on this new chapter, and we ask for your continued interest and support for their future endeavors.” The couple plans to continue their respective careers even after marriage.
