SamjinPharmaceutical announced on the 6th that it received a certificate of selection as a new participant at the “2026 World Class Plus Project” award ceremony held in Asan, South Chungcheong Province, on the 1st.
The World Class Plus Project is an initiative led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) that selects mid-sized companies with global growth potential and competitiveness to provide support in areas such as R&D, exports, financing, and consulting.
Previously, in April, SamjinPharmaceutical was selected as a company in the advanced biotechnology sector among 10 mid-sized companies in national high-tech industries, including biotechnology, semiconductors, and future mobility.
According to the company, its proposals for “Advancement of Innovative New Drugs” and “Development of Platform Technologies for Dosage Forms and Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs)” were evaluated in this project based on technical complexity and commercialization potential.
SamjinPharmaceutical is pursuing “SJN314,” a new drug candidate in the immunology and inflammation field, and its ADC platform as core R&D projects. The company plans to pursue global technology exports and phased technology transfers based on these technologies.
Currently, SamjinPharmaceutical has a pipeline of 16 new drug candidates and invests approximately 12% of its revenue in R&D. Going forward, the company intends to expand its collaborative network with global pharmaceutical companies and establish a business structure that links technology exports to commercialization.
