In the second episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Doctor X: The Age of the White Mafia” (Doctor X), airing on the 10th, a tense standoff unfolds between Gye Su-jeong (played by Kim Ji-won) and Bu Seung-kwon (played by Son Hyun-joo).
“Doctor X” is a medical noir drama depicting the journey of Gye Su-jeong, a doctor with exceptional surgical skills, as she confronts the injustices of the medical establishment. The first episode, which aired on the 9th, depicted Gye Su-jeong—temporarily assigned to Guseo University Hospital—taking a stand against the hospital’s established practices.
Gye Su-jeong not only challenged surgical procedures without worrying about what other doctors might think but also proved her skills by successfully performing surgery herself when the lead surgeon suddenly collapsed.
