On the 12th, Howling Entertainment posted a statement on its official social media channels, saying, “We sincerely apologize to the fans who may have been hurt by Ren’s inappropriate words and actions.” They added, “Although we should have shown our fans a more cautious and responsible side, we deeply regret having caused disappointment and hurt through our thoughtless words and actions.” Ren debuted in the music industry as a member of Chaser last February. Controversy arose after it was revealed online that Ren had responded to a fan who said, “I’ve been waiting for you,” on a fan communication platform with, “Oh, what do you want me to do? Why are you yelling at me? You’re just annoying me.” Howling Entertainment stated, “Inappropriate words and actions displayed while communicating with fans cannot be justified under any circumstances,” adding, “We take this matter very seriously. We will pay even closer attention to artist training and management to ensure that similar incidents do not recur in the future.” They continued, “We will do our best to ensure a more cautious and responsible attitude in our communication with fans,” and bowed their heads once again, saying, “We sincerely apologize once more to the fans who were hurt by Ren’s words and actions.”
