LG Corp. Selected as Anthropic’s ‘Preferred’ Partner… First Korean Company to Achieve This Status
Secured 140 Claude experts and 20 implementation case studies
Only About 40 Locations Worldwide Hold the "Preferred" Rating
Samsung SDS Also Secures ‘Select’ Status… Race to Accelerate Collaboration
[Edaily Reporter Shin Yeong-bin ] LG CNS (#LGCNES) has become the first South Korean company to achieve “Preferred” status in the official partner program of Anthropic, a U.S.-based artificial intelligence (AI) company.
According to the information technology (IT) industry on the 13th, LG Corp. was selected for the “Preferred” tier in Anthropic’s “Claude Partner Network (CPN)” on the 5th. LG Corp. is listed on Anthropic’s website as a “Preferred” partner in the Claude Partner Network. (Photo: Screenshot from Anthropic’s website) The CPN is an official partner program operated by Anthropic for companies that support enterprise customers in adopting Claude and building systems. It awards “Select,” “Preferred,” and “Global Premier” designations based on evaluations of technical expertise and actual customer implementation track records.
To achieve the “Preferred” tier, a company must have at least 100 Claude-certified experts, at least 15 clients who have implemented Claude in live production environments, and at least three publicly available customer case studies. Currently, approximately 40 companies worldwide are registered at the “Preferred” tier.
140 Claude Experts… Achievements in Enterprise System Rebuilding
LG CNS is reported to have approximately 140 employees holding Claude professional certifications and about 20 actual service implementation cases. Based on this, the company supports clients from the formulation of AI adoption strategies through system development and operation.
There have also been successful implementations of Claude in actual enterprise systems. LG Corp. recently rebuilt a 20-year-old project management system for a client in the construction sector using Anthropic’s AI coding tool, “Claude Code.”
During this project, which ran for approximately seven months from November of last year to June of this year, the company migrated 2,888 of the existing system’s 2,913 application programming interfaces (APIs). This represents a migration rate of 99.1%. Additionally, 1,340 existing screens were converted to a React-based architecture.
Anthropic highlighted this case study on its official website last July, stating that it reduced costs by approximately 50% compared to a traditional rebuild. LG Corp. is utilizing Claude Code as its standard development method at its Build Center, which employs approximately 200 engineers.
LG CNS is also expanding the scope of its collaboration with Anthropic. In 2023, it invested in Anthropic through LG Corp. Technology Ventures, and in June, it signed a contract to adopt the enterprise AI service “Claude Enterprise.”

Samsung SDS Also Secures ‘Select’ Status… Expanding Domestic AX Collaboration
Domestic IT service companies are also increasingly partnering with Anthropic.
Samsung SDS (SAMSUNG SDS CO., LTD.(018260)) became the first Korean company to obtain CPN Select status last month. Select is a tier below Preferred and requires meeting criteria such as having at least 10 Anthropic-certified experts and serving at least two active clients.
Samsung SDS previously signed a strategic partnership with Anthropic in July and began jointly targeting the domestic enterprise AI market. The company is providing Claude implementation consulting, model supply via Amazon Bedrock, service deployment and operation, and technical support.
Samsung SDS announced that, as of last September, it was providing Claude Enterprise to 20 Samsung affiliates and approximately 70,000 employees. Based on this internal implementation experience, the company plans to expand its business to external corporate customers.
Anthropic is also actively targeting the Korean market. It opened an office in Seoul last June and is expanding its collaboration with domestic companies and research institutions. Collaboration in the enterprise AI market between global model providers and domestic deployment and operations companies is expected to become even more active.
Kim Tae-hoon, Executive Vice President and Head of the AI Cloud Business Division at LG Corp., stated during the announcement of the partnership with Anthropic last June, “We will actively support AX innovation for domestic corporate customers by combining LG Corp.’s AX capabilities with Anthropic’s AI technology.”
