Set to open on the 4th of next month, the film “Final Interview” tells the story of six job applicants gathered for a final interview who discover mysterious envelopes containing revelations about each other, leading them to suspect one another and plunge into confusion. Kwak Dong-yeon plays the role of Jeon Yo-han, a character whose true intentions remain a mystery.

“Jeon Yo-han,” played by Kwak Dong-yeon, is a character accustomed to being alone who maintains a proper distance from others; because he insists on his own standards and judgments, he creates a tense atmosphere even during warm and friendly moments.

Having initially treated the final interview task—where the candidates’ choices determine whether they pass—as if it were a popularity contest, he views the situation more rationally than anyone else when the envelopes containing the revelations appear. After the envelopes are opened, his subtly contradictory words and actions make it difficult to predict the course of the revelations, building tension throughout the film.

Kwak Dong-yeon explained his reason for choosing the role, saying, “I’ve always been very interested in playing characters I’ve never attempted before, and I thought ‘Jeon Yo-han’ was a role that would satisfy that sense of challenge.”

He added, “I wanted to portray a character who excels academically and is exceptional, yet whose communication is just a hair off.”

Director Kim Jeong-hoon, who helmed the film, said, “‘Yo-han’ could easily have become a stereotypical eccentric character, but actor Kwak Dong-yeon breathed unique life into him,” adding, “He brings the character to life with a sense of rhythm that freely shifts between being in sync and out of sync, along with tremendous charisma,” thereby heightening anticipation.

Kwak Dong-yeon made his debut in the drama *You Came Rolling In* and has built a diverse filmography through appearances in *Moonlight Drawn by Clouds*, *Vincenzo*, *Queen of Tears*, and the film *645*.
