On the 15th, Disney+ released a pair of posters depicting the relationships between the four main characters in “The Remarried Empress.”
The poster features Emperor “Sobiesh” (Joo Ji-hoon) and Empress “Nabie” (Shin Min-a) of the Dongdae Empire, with the two holding hands and looking straight ahead side by side. Their composed posture and intense gazes perfectly convey the dignity and presence of the imperial couple leading the empire. The caption, “No matter what happens, you are my one and only wife,” further underscores “Sobiesh’s” unwavering conviction toward “Nabie.” However, cracks are beginning to form in their relationship, and attention is focused on whether the emperor’s vow will hold.
In the poster featuring Emperor “Sobiesh” and “Rasta” (Lee Se-young), the look in “Sobiesh’s” eyes as he gazes tenderly at “Rasta” reveals his deepening feelings. *The Remarried Empress* is a romantic fantasy epic that unfolds when “Nabie,” the perfect empress of the Dongdae Empire, receives a divorce notice from Emperor “Sobiesh”—who has fallen for the runaway slave “Rasta”—and, instead of accepting it, demands approval to remarry “Heinri,” the prince of the Western Kingdom. Starring Shin Min-a, Joo Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young, the series is considered one of the most anticipated releases of the second half of the year.
In particular, “The Remarried Empress” is an adaptation of the eponymous intellectual property (IP)—which sparked a global phenomenon, including a webtoon that has recorded 2.97 billion cumulative views worldwide (as of July 2026)—and marks Disney+’s first K-romance fantasy, generating intense anticipation even before its release.
“The Remarried Empress” will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on November 4.
