[Edaily Reporter Lee So-Hyun ] FLITTO Inc.(300080), a company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) data and solutions, posted its best-ever quarterly earnings in the third quarter of this year, with operating profit nearing 9 billion won. Its operating profit for a single quarter alone surpassed last year’s full-year total, and cumulative operating profit for the first three quarters exceeded 10 billion won. The company appears to be continuing its upward earnings trend, driven by two key growth engines: the expansion of its AI translation and interpretation solutions business and its existing AI training data business.

FLITTO Inc. Signs 3.9 Billion Won AI Translation and Interpretation Supply Contract with Global Semiconductor Company

On the 20th, FLITTO Inc. announced that its preliminary third-quarter revenue on a consolidated basis was 17.786 billion won, a 50.97% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit for the same period surged 217.05% to 8.972 billion won. Both revenue and operating profit reached record highs on a quarterly basis. The operating profit margin reached 50.4%, and net income rose 177.13% to 8.346 billion won.

Compared to the previous quarter, revenue rose by 119.41% and operating profit surged by 541.67%. Cumulative revenue for the first three quarters of this year totaled 31.106 billion won, up 20.71% year-over-year, while cumulative operating profit reached 10.306 billion won, an increase of 89.69%. Following last year’s achievement of its first annual operating profit since its founding, the company has already reached 167.5% of last year’s annual operating profit of approximately 6.2 billion won in just the first three quarters of this year, setting a new record for annual operating profit.

One key driver of this growth is the AI translation and interpretation solutions business. FLITTO Inc. announced that “Vogl,” its real-time AI translation and interpretation service—which was rebranded under a unified brand last September—surpassed 80,000 subscribers in the third quarter. This represents a roughly 14-fold increase compared to the service’s launch in the fourth quarter of last year. The company has also expanded its client base to include events hosted by global companies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AMD, as well as major retail locations like Shinsegae Co.,Ltd and Olive Young. In September, it provided simultaneous interpretation services for the opening ceremony of the Asian Games.

On the 30th of last month, FLITTO Inc. consolidated its previously separately operated AI translation and interpretation solutions under the Vogl brand and reorganized its business structure into the personal app “Vogl,” “Vogl Stage” for international conferences and events, and “Vogl Zone” for stores and service counters. By leveraging personalized technology that learns users’ specialized terminology and expressions to improve interpretation accuracy, the company is targeting both the enterprise and consumer markets simultaneously. The number of events using Vogl Stage increased from 150 in 2024 to 442 last year, and the company expects that number to exceed 600 this year.

Orders for enterprise solutions are also on the rise. On the 12th, FLITTO Inc. signed a contract worth 3.87 billion won with a global semiconductor company to build an AI-based real-time translation and interpretation system. This amount represents approximately 10.8% of last year’s consolidated revenue. Following the major enterprise contract with Hanwha Ocean, the company explained that it is in discussions with several global companies regarding additional implementations. The secured order volume is expected to be reflected in future earnings.

The company’s existing core business—AI training data—is also underpinning its growth. Through the “Data Marketplace” launched last June, the company has expanded its business scope from direct sales of existing data to distribution and brokerage. It is broadening the scope of transactions to include not only multimodal data such as text, voice, and video but also physical AI data used for robot training. Large-scale data supply to global Big Tech companies is proceeding as planned, with delivery scheduled to be completed by the fourth quarter.

FLITTO Inc. plans to continue its growth momentum in the fourth quarter through data deliveries to global Big Tech companies, government-led business-to-government (B2G) data construction projects, and expanded sales of AI translation and interpretation solutions. Of the targets presented at last month’s “Bogl” rebranding event—annual revenue in the 50 billion won range and operating profit in the 10 billion won range—operating profit has already exceeded 10 billion won on a cumulative basis through the third quarter.

Yoon Min-yong, FLITTO Inc.’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), stated, “Our proactive R&D investments have yielded rapid growth in performance in a short period,” adding, “Now that a virtuous cycle of performance has been established, we will continue our high growth and profitability in the fourth quarter as well.”

Lee Jeong-soo, CEO of FLITTO Inc., remarked, “These record-breaking results prove that our accumulated technological capabilities and data business are resonating in the global market,” adding, “We will continue this trend of record-breaking performance based on ‘Bogl,’ our irreplaceable AI translation and interpretation solution, and our global data hub business.”
