On the 21st, SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS announced that its consolidated revenue for the third quarter of this year was 1.4903 trillion won, with operating profit of 640.1 billion won. Compared to the same period last year, revenue increased by 232.8 billion won (18.5%) and operating profit rose by 6.6 billion won (1%). Compared to the previous quarter, they increased by 12.8% and 9.1%, respectively.
Cumulative revenue for the first three quarters of this year totaled 4.0684 trillion won, a 24.4% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit for the same period rose 17.3% to 1.8073 trillion won.
Performance growth was driven by Plants 1 through 4 continuing to operate at full capacity, the ramp-up of Plant 5 (expansion of production capacity), and the full-scale inclusion of revenue from the Rockville, U.S., production facility acquired in March of this year.
SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS raised its annual revenue forecast by 148.4 billion won on the same day, from the previous estimate of 5.32 trillion won to 5.4684 trillion won. The company also revised its annual revenue growth forecast upward from “15–20%” year-over-year to “20%.”
The company explained that this adjustment comprehensively reflects the stable operation of its existing plants (Plants 1–4), the recognition of revenue from production intended for Plant 5 certification in the second half of the year, and the stabilization of commercial production at the Rockville facility.
As of the end of the third quarter of this year, total assets stood at 12.6702 trillion won, equity at 8.6893 trillion won, and liabilities at 3.9809 trillion won. The company’s financial position remained stable, with a debt-to-equity ratio of 45.8% and a loan-to-equity ratio of 9.2%.
The company is also continuing to secure new orders and expand its business scope. Since its founding, it has secured a cumulative total of 117 contract manufacturing (CMO) orders and 184 contract development (CDO) orders, with the total value of these orders reaching $22 billion.
The company is also proceeding with the acquisition of Polypeptide Group to enter the peptide contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) market. The acceptance rate for the tender offer reached 87.88%, exceeding the minimum threshold of 66.7% required for the transaction to be accepted. SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS plans to finalize the transaction by paying the purchase price within 10 trading days after receiving regulatory approvals from relevant authorities in Europe, India, Australia, and Brazil.
The company is also expanding its global footprint. With the opening of a European sales office in the Netherlands this past August, it has established a sales network spanning the United States, Europe, Japan, and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Based on this foundation, the company aims to broaden its customer reach and strengthen its competitiveness in securing orders.
Meanwhile, SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS received an “A” rating in Morgan Stanley Capital International’s (MSCI) 2026 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) assessment, moving up one notch from the previous year. The company’s rating has improved every year since receiving a “B” rating in 2023.
