[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon ] On the 23rd, NICE Rating & Information assessed that InfoBank Corporation(039290)is fully launching its AI Transformation (AX) business based on its corporate messaging business foundation accumulated over more than 30 years. As the company expands its business scope to include enterprise AI agents and AX solutions for the finance and mobility sectors, revenue this year is projected to increase by approximately 15% year-over-year.
Min Chung-ki, a researcher at NICE Rating Information, explained in a report published on the 22nd, “We anticipate that the enterprise messaging industry will shift from a structure evaluated by unit price per message sent to one evaluated by value added per customer. As a first-generation player in messaging, InfoBank is transforming BizGo from a volume-centric platform into a ‘value-per-customer’ platform integrated with AI CRM to lead this change.”
InfoBank Corporation, which launched Korea’s first enterprise text messaging service in 1998, currently serves more than 15,000 clients, including financial institutions, public agencies, and retail and platform companies. Its annual message processing volume exceeds 10 billion messages. As a gateway provider directly connected to the three major mobile carriers and an official dealer for KakaoTalk BizMessage, the company delivers messages essential to core business operations, such as authentication and payments.
Its flagship platform, “BizGo,” provides an integrated solution encompassing SMS, KakaoTalk AlimTalk, and Rich Communication Services (RCS). Recently, the company has been enhancing its business model into a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform by adding AI features such as recommendations for marketing targets by customer, message generation, and optimization of sending times.
The enterprise Agent AI hub “IN7” is highlighted as a new growth driver. Launched last October, IN7 enables companies to integrate and utilize major AI models—such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude—within their internal systems. Currently, more than 140 companies have signed up, and over 53 have converted to paid plans, resulting in a paid conversion rate of 37.9%.
The company is also seeing results from its AI business in the financial sector. Last May, it signed a contract with a major domestic credit card company for an Agent AI commerce hub system, and through “iXpert”—its financial and enterprise AX business—it is expanding the deployment of AI contact centers (AICC) and business automation systems. In the mobility sector, the company is developing vehicle software and autonomous driving control technologies.
Financial performance is also showing signs of improvement. Consolidated revenue for the first half of this year reached 77.76 billion won, a 21.1% increase compared to the same period last year. The operating loss narrowed from 3.39 billion won to 1.2 billion won, and the company returned to profitability with a net income of 1.43 billion won. In particular, messaging service revenue grew by 34.3%, driving overall revenue growth.
NICE Credit Information forecasts that this year’s annual revenue will reach 154.9 billion won, a 14.7% increase from last year. However, the firm noted that the increase in messaging revenue during the first half may have been partially driven by demand related to the local elections held last June, so the sustainability of this trend needs to be verified.
Analyst Min stated, “If the increase in messaging volume seen in the second quarter continues in the second half of the year, or if new AI business ventures gain full momentum, there is potential for results to exceed forecasts.” He added, “If cost reductions in sales and administrative expenses are combined with the successful establishment of new businesses, a trend toward profitability recovery is expected in the medium to long term.”
