Nayeon, who debuted as a member of TWICE in 2015, began her solo career in 2022 with the mini-album “IM NAYEON.” With her debut album “IM NAYEON,” featuring the title track “POP!,” Nayeon achieved the feat of reaching No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard 200, the main album chart. Subsequently, in June 2024, she released her second mini-album, “NA,” featuring “ABCD” as the title track, and this album also made it into the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. This marks her first solo release in approximately 2 years and 5 months. The single title “Nasty” combines the English word “nasty”—which means “mischievous” or “provocative”—with the meanings “Nayeon’s style” and “true to herself.” It embodies her aspiration to “honestly and freely showcase the diverse charms and attitudes that define Nayeon today.” Her agency announced the imminent solo comeback by posting a motion video of the new single’s logo—featuring an angel ring and wing-shaped icons—on its official social media channels.
