On the 26th, DUOBACK CO., LTD. published a notice on its website detailing the progress of the ongoing substantive review of its listing eligibility, its future response plan, and its communication strategy with shareholders. Following the passing of the late CEO Jeong Gwan-young, DUOBACK CO., LTD. held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and a board of directors meeting on the 20th and appointed Executive Director Jeong Young-ah as the new CEO. Prior to this, the company had already completed the procedures to change its largest shareholder to CEO Jeong Young-ah and five others. In a Seohan to shareholders, newly appointed CEO Jeong Young-ah stated her commitment to diligently addressing the substantive review of listing eligibility while swiftly stabilizing the organization through responsible management to restore shareholder trust. CEO Jeong emphasized, “With the assistance of an external law firm, we are responding to the substantive review of listing eligibility as a company-wide effort,” adding, “We will immediately disclose any material information that could influence investment decisions in accordance with relevant laws and disclosure regulations, and we will communicate with all shareholders transparently and based on the same standards.” He continued, “As the largest shareholder and CEO, I will responsibly lead the company that the late former CEO Jeong Gwan-young dedicated his entire life to building,” adding, “I will devote all my efforts to making the resumption of stock trading and enhancing corporate value our top priorities.” Currently, DUOBACK CO., LTD. has made the normalization of management its top priority and is focusing its efforts on preparing for the substantive review, led by a legal advisory team. However, as the disclosure of specific details is restricted due to the confidentiality of the review process, the company plans to share progress updates with shareholders within the scope permitted by regulations. Measures to strengthen communication with shareholders were also presented. The company plans to promptly disclose major issues that could influence market sentiment in accordance with disclosure regulations and to address shareholder inquiries under consistent standards, thereby resolving information asymmetry. Previously, following the suspension of trading in DUOBACK CO., LTD.’s shares on August 20, the Korea Exchange (KRX) decided on September 9 to extend the investigation period, and on October 2, the company was finally designated as a subject of a substantive review of its listing eligibility. The company plans to submit its business improvement plan by the 27th, and the Exchange will decide, within 20 business days of the submission date and following deliberation and a resolution by the Corporate Review Committee, whether to delist the company or grant it a period for improvement.
