Under this agreement, ITEYES Inc.’s medical AI platform “GENAI ME” will be integrated with Cableu Bio’s capabilities in precision diagnosis of blood cancers through genomic analysis and biomarker research, as well as the medical research and validation infrastructure of the Center for Advanced Precision Medicine Industrialization Support.
Key areas of collaboration include joint R&D on AI-based cancer diagnosis and prediction models, genomic data analysis for blood cancers, biomarker discovery and validation, and the integration and standardization of medical data. The partners will also jointly establish a system for utilizing clinical and preclinical research data and work together to validate and commercialize the developed precision medicine solutions.
GENAI ME, recently unveiled by ITEYES Inc., is a medical AI platform that supports real-world evidence (RWE)-based clinical research. It is designed to integrate and analyze various types of medical data, including electronic medical records (EMR), clinical data warehouses (CDW), DNA and RNA genomic information, next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, and medical images.
It is characterized by its ability to utilize AI technology to structure unstructured medical data and provide information necessary for establishing patient-specific treatment strategies and clinical decision-making. Through this agreement, ITEYES Inc. plans to expand its existing medical data analysis technology to include the development of cancer diagnosis and prediction models, as well as biomarker validation.
ITEYES Inc. is currently collaborating with Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital on “K-HOPE (Korean Precision Medicine Platform for Hematological Cancers),” a national research project. This initiative aims to build an AI-based clinical research and precision medicine platform using real-world data (RWD) from Korean cancer patients. The company intends to apply the medical data analysis expertise gained from this project to the current joint research as well.
Cableu Bio, a participant in the agreement, is a company that possesses technologies for precision genomic diagnosis of blood cancers, NGS-based molecular diagnostics, and the discovery of disease biomarkers. The Advanced Precision Medicine Industrialization Support Center supports the development, validation, and industrialization of advanced medical technologies based on the research infrastructure of Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital. It was recently designated as a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) facility for the pharmaceutical sector by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
The growth of the medical AI market is also driving the expansion of related business activities. According to market research firm Grand View Research, the global AI-based cancer diagnostics market is projected to grow from $338.2 million (approximately 450 billion won) last year to $1.7958 billion (approximately 2.4 trillion won) by 2033.
Lee Seong-nam, CEO of ITEYES Inc., stated, “This agreement will serve as an opportunity to broaden the scope of medical AI technology applications and explore new business opportunities in the field of precision medicine.” He added, “We will work closely with partner companies and institutions to ensure that our R&D achievements translate into solutions applicable in real-world clinical settings, and we will focus on strengthening the competitiveness and commercialization of our medical AI business.”
