[Edaily Reporter SHIN MIN JOON ] Global fashion and textile exporter Shinwon(009270)is implementing a next-generation integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to strengthen its global manufacturing competitiveness. The company aims to enhance operational efficiency through “Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX),” which integrates operational data across the entire apparel manufacturing process and links it with artificial intelligence (AI).

Sphere is an integrated operational system centered on the global ERP solution SAP S/4HANA, connecting key business systems such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and electronic accounting. A key feature is that it connects the entire apparel manufacturing process—from order receipt to △sample development △cost estimation △sourcing and ordering △production △logistics △shipping and settlement—into a single data flow.

The name “Sphere” was selected through an internal contest. It stands for “Shinwon Platform Hub for Enterprise Resources” and embodies the meaning of the English word “sphere,” which refers to a sphere that connects and expands in all directions. The aim is to create an integrated work environment by connecting core business systems through a single portal.

Shinwon has consolidated operational data that was previously scattered across Excel, email, and individual programs, and standardized key business procedures. By systematically managing bills of materials (BOMs) and production processes by product style, Shinwon has also improved data consistency and usability.

Shinwon has also established a global integrated operational foundation that enables its headquarters and overseas manufacturing subsidiaries to utilize the same business procedures and data standards. In particular, Shinwon has linked its production management system with ERP to enable integrated management of production status and cost information, as well as rapid identification of major issues arising during the production process.

Shinwon has also strengthened its business analytics capabilities. By leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Shinwon has built a foundation for analyzing order, production, and cost data by subsidiary, buyer, and product. Through this, Shinwon plans to systematically analyze profitability by product and buyer and expand data-driven business decision-making.

Shinwon is also accelerating its AX initiatives following this system implementation. Previously, Shinwon established a dedicated AI organization and adopted ChatGPT Enterprise, an AI service for businesses. Shinwon is expanding the scope of AI utilization through the automation of repetitive tasks and data analysis. Going forward, Shinwon plans to link standardized ERP data with AI to enhance operational efficiency and data utilization.

Park Jeong-ju, CEO of Shinwon, stated, “The significance of Sphere lies not merely in the implementation of an ERP system, but in establishing a foundation that connects operations and data under a single standard and integrates them with AI.” He added, “Going forward, we will gradually expand the application of AI to actual business areas to enhance the visibility and operational efficiency of our global supply chain and strengthen our data-driven manufacturing competitiveness.”
