[Edaily Reporter LEE SEON-WOO ] “Food Week Korea 2026” (the 21st Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition) opened on the 4th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and will run through the 7th. Under the theme “Innovation Becomes Everyday Life,” 963 food and food-tech companies from 47 countries will operate a total of 1,622 exhibition booths over the four-day event.
With “collaboration” as its key theme, this year’s event showcases a variety of products and technologies jointly developed by food companies, local farmers, and food-tech firms. Nongshim, Samyang Foods, and Paldo will present collaborative menus featuring local agricultural products—such as shiitake mushrooms, Gapyeong white pine nuts, and watermelon radishes—at the main exhibition hall, the “Seasonal Pairing House.” Ottogi, in partnership with the food-tech company Cook in Paper, will operate a “Han River Ramen” tasting and experience zone that recreates the taste and atmosphere of ramen cooked in Hangang Park

Visitors can also meet small and medium-sized food companies that have enhanced their manufacturing competitiveness through technological support from major corporations. Thirty SMEs that have improved their production processes through Samsung Electronics’ Smart Factory support program will showcase products such as kimchi, cooking oil, salads, and cheonggukjang at the “K-Food Pavilion with Samsung Smart Factory” and seek to open new sales channels by targeting domestic and international buyers.
Special themed pavilions reflecting the latest food consumption trends and product characteristics will also be featured. Visitors can sample and enjoy a variety of foods and culinary trends at venues such as the “Delicacies & Specialties 4-Day Market,” “Textures & Tastes Shop,” “World Beer Selection,” “The Lounge,” “Gourmet & Specialty Street,” and “Healthy Pleasure Street.” The “The Next” special exhibition hall for new products will showcase 62 new products launched this year, while the “K-Kan Convenience Food Showcase” will feature 39 ready-to-eat meals that combine Korean cuisine with food tech.
Business programs will also be held to examine the latest trends in the food industry and to explore and share strategies for entering overseas markets. Over the course of four days, 22 seminars and forums on topics such as “Prospects for the Food and Restaurant Industry” and “K-Food Global Export Strategies” will take place on the main stage in Hall C on the 3rd floor and in conference rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors. Business matchmaking sessions featuring 237 domestic and international buyer companies will be held for three days, from the 4th to the 6th, at The Platz and the C Hall exhibition hall.
Hours of operation are from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is 15,000 won for a one-day pass and 30,000 won for a four-day pass. Further details are available on the official website.
