3ALogics. Inc won the “2026 IR52 Jang Young-sil Award” for its automotive NFC semiconductor chip, the “TNR200.” The TNR200 is the first product in Korea to meet Digital Key 2.0, the latest technical standard for automotive digital keys. The company highlights its competitive advantages in recognition range, size, card detection range, and durability.

Automotive semiconductors must operate reliably even under harsh conditions, such as temperature fluctuations and vibrations, resulting in high barriers to entry. Consequently, the automotive NFC semiconductor market has been dominated by foreign companies, with the domestic production rate remaining below 5%. Through independent research and development (R&D), 3ALogics. Inc set out to develop domestic products in a market heavily reliant on imports.

After more than seven years of development, 3ALogics. Inc successfully achieved domestic production by unveiling the TNR100 automotive NFC semiconductor in 2021. The following year, the company obtained CCC-CR global certification. Since then, it has developed the successor product, the TNR200, to enhance its technological competitiveness, and currently supplies related products to dozens of vehicle models from global automakers.

Automotive NFC semiconductors are core components of digital key systems that utilize smartphones. They enable drivers to not only lock and unlock car doors with their smartphones but also start the engine and control in-vehicle functions. As the adoption of connected cars and electric vehicles expands, the range of applications is also broadening.
