[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] "Although the policy direction in Europe has not yet been finalized, according to the IAA’s proposed amendments, foreign direct investment and localization requirements are expected to be further strengthened, making local production capabilities—including for key materials such as batteries—increasingly important.
As European automakers are also pursuing diversification of their battery supply chains, we expect demand for procurement from non-Chinese companies with local production systems to expand.
Our company has already established a local mass production base and a supply chain for materials and components, centered in Poland, enabling us to respond quickly to our customers’ local production needs. We have observed growing customer interest in high-voltage mid-nickel batteries recently, and we believe we can secure price competitiveness as depreciation expenses at our Polish subsidiary have decreased significantly.
Going forward, we will expand our market share in Europe based not only on high-voltage mid-nickel batteries but also on a diverse product portfolio, including LFP batteries."
