[Edaily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] “In addition to the more than 440 GWh of orders already secured for the 46 Series batteries—ranging from established automakers to EV startups—we are currently in discussions with several global automakers regarding new orders. We expect to secure orders of a significant scale in the near future.

The tabless 2170 battery offers lower heat generation and resistance compared to existing products, making it competitive in terms of safety and high power output. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including hybrid vehicles (HEVs), battery backup units (BBUs), and robots.

The company is currently mass-producing products for power tools at its Ochang facility and is preparing to begin mass production of LFP 2170 batteries for BBUs in the second quarter of next year. Mass production of products for HEVs is scheduled to begin at the company’s Arizona plant in the U.S. by the end of next year.

In particular, the LFP 2170 has demonstrated superior performance in thermal safety tests compared to existing NCM products and is receiving positive feedback from customers."
