CEO Jeong Jae-heon: “The Answers Lie in the Field… We Will Enhance the Company’s Competitiveness Through AI”
[Edaily Reporter Yun Junghoon ] SK Telecom (SKTelecom(017670)) announced on the 3rd that it held the final event of “AX Spark,” a competition designed to gather, verify, and evaluate agents developed through the company’s internal AX (AI Transformation) innovation initiatives this year, and presented awards to the winning entries.
“AX Spark” is an AX implementation project designed to identify and validate Agent AI developed directly by SKT employees and currently in use in the field. Previously, SKT had declared a shift in work practices to drive future growth and announced its “One Employee, One Agent” initiative.
To this end, the company provided support through various internal development platforms—including the in-house AX community (AXMS), A.dot Biz, Polaris AI, and Playground—as well as phased training programs. With this support, more than 5,000 work-related AI agents were developed within SKT alone this year.

173 Entries Company-Wide… Five Teams, Including Network and Security, Advance to the Finals
A total of 173 entries were submitted for this AX Spark event over the three-month period from August to October. Participants came from across the entire company—including the MNO CIC (Marketing & Network Infrastructure), AI CIC, and organizations reporting directly to the CEO—as well as from all job categories, regardless of whether they were developers or non-developers, or their specific areas of responsibility.
SKT selected 20 outstanding entries through monthly preliminary rounds, then narrowed them down to five finalists based on evaluations by internal and external judges and employee voting. Subsequently, on the 3rd, the company held the final event—akin to a “champion of champions” competition—to determine the final rankings.
On the final stage, innovation agents from each field stood out. △The AT/DT Center presented “ATLAS,” a multi-agent platform that autonomously performs tasks ranging from service planning to development and operations; △The Network Center presented “PYLON,” which analyzes electricity consumption and costs for approximately 180,000 telecommunications facilities nationwide; △The A.dot Business Division showcased the quality control agent “AUTO LLM JUDGE” and the “Agent AI Service Operations Agent”; and △The Integrated Security Center presented “M-TripleA,” an agent that analyzes malicious apps and automatically tracks attack servers.
